They're going to struggle without Russ and KD, but those guys will be back. They're injured, not dead. Would be very surprising if they weren't still comfortably a playoff team -assuming ~20games missed for the stars.

they'd have to win 50+ games in the West. And that's assuming they get back when they say, and that they're gonna be 100% or something close to it when they do I think it's possible but they might just end up like 9th

It might not be doable. With a 50 win cutoff to get in, assuming they only miss 20 games with a team that would go 10-10 (being generous) that means a 10-12 record before the next 60 games. They'd need to go 40-20 to make it. That's a 66% winning rate and I haven't even looked at the schedule yet. That's the easy scenario and at a glance not one I'm ready to go with.

Other teams may get injuries or have unexpected losses so we'll see.

think the 8th seed race might be between okc and phoenix as it stands now
theres no way someones getting into the playoffs in the west with just 50 wins.

No I agree with the critique made. I take it back, they'll be good enough to be a playoff team when healthy again, but given how much of a handicap they may give up it could be too much. I wouldn't expect them to be out of contention though unless one of the injuries really lingers.

I actually think Phoenix is "better" than 8th seed. Portland is the one I think that has the biggest chance of dropping out.

FT numbers in this game are low given how much scrumming has been happening, think that's playing into the 'sloppyness.' Some might call it good defense, but IMO there's been a whole lot of whistle swallowing.
