It's probably confirmation bias but I feel like players are better with masks

He's not Ryan Anderson, he can post up decent as well and like I said has the ability to catch, pump fake, and drive for a layup. He's a pretty good passer out of the pick and roll. He's a good defender. Yes he's primarily a 3 and D guy but he's a REALLY good 3 and D guy and as I said, can do more than that when need be, it's not like he's averaging 20 ppg by sitting at the 3 point line and launching bombs. I think people in general overvalue ball handling and undervalue utility players who do a lot of everything. Yes you need ball handlers, yes being a ball handler makes you extremely valuable, but there's also a lot to be said for a guy who can do multiple things on both ends of the floor at a high level. If you don't have enough of those guys then you end up in an OKC situation where a lot of their bench players either can only primarily play offense or primarily play defense. If you look at it from a trade value which guy potentially has a better ceiling then I'd agree with you- Wiggins has the potential to be a huge star, Mirotic tops out as a 3rd option, but a really good one. However I don't think potential is the only/biggest criteria for the award because at some point you're guessing how good people are going to be. I think I also thought of ROTY as "which rookie has played the best in their rookie year", and to me I would give it to Mirotic because he's more valuable as a player to his team this year. well another part of the problem with mirotic is that the argument for him is very narrow. it's not a 'overall body of work' or 'potential' argument. the body of work you have to craft this argument around is few in minutes and games. i don't really see how it would work.

Lesson learned, never fall with your crotch right under the hoop. edit: Just to enhance the pain of a basketball dropping 10-feet onto your jewels. ![]()

Pels, currently 41-34 (counting they beat Kings today) @Portland vs GS @ Mem vs Phx @Hou @ Minny vs Spurs A lot will come down to which high seeds rest players in games. I think Mem, Hou and Portland will play them full strength as they're still jockeying for seeds. GS and SA may rest guys. I'll give them four wins for 45-37 finish. OKC, current 42-34 vs Hou vs Spurs vs Kings @ Indy vs Portland @ Minny Hmmm, a much easier run. I think they win at least 4, possibly 5 which gets them to 46/47 wins. Can anyone see the Pels making it?
