Amazing as there are prob 10 clubs in the PL that pay more wages than Leverkusen. Would love to see Arsenal vs Leverkusen in quarters. If they even make it that far. Arsenal will be unseeded (assuming they get a point in the next two games, they can still go out), and I'm not sure they've made it to the quarters in awhile. And especially not with the way they are playing... Also still amazed how BVB are dominating CL and choking massively domestically. Other than Bayern seizing upon all their players, I can't put a finger on why they are doing so bad at home, but then again I don't follow Bundesliga much, so...

IIRC the balls are rigged to always produce the Bayern vs Arsenal matchup. How often did they meet now? 3 years in a row?

BvB can only plays very strong&dangerous vs teams that play football too. BvB showed their best performance at Bayern last weekend at Bundesliga. All other bundesliga opponents before played like with 11 defender. Another problem is that BvB has only 11 strong/good players. If 2 are injuried -> BvB is a black-out. Bayern had this problem for a long time too until few seasons ago.

Leverkusen are in good control of their group and Arsenal look to get second place, again. I hope it doesn't happen. My heart would be split between clubs ![]() On November 05 2014 23:40 Dingodile wrote: BvB can only plays very strong&dangerous vs teams that play football too. Dortmund remind me of Arsenal a few years ago. Both lost their best player: Robert Lewandowski and Robin van Persie respectively, and replaced them with two new players (Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud for Arsenal, and Adrian Ramos and Ciro Immobile for Dortmund), but the clubs have both struggled to replace the departed player's production as the new faces haven't fully settled in yet. Players usually need a season to gel with their new clubs, then they can be appropriately judged. Remember, Robert Lewandowski only scored 9 goals in his first season with Dortmund. But he scored 30, 36, and 28 in his next three. Both teams also have injury plagues that make it that much harder as well. It's bad enough losing your best player, but when close to half your starting XI is out, it's even harder to reach the heights of previous seasons.

Man City 2-0 CSKA Sporting 2-0 Schalke Bayern 5-0 Roma PSG 2-0 APOEL Ajax 1-3 Barcelona Maribor 1-4 Chelsea Athletico 2-1 Porto Donetsk 5-0 BATE Schalke appear depleted from injury, Bayern is too strong and still all the more at home, I might have been generous for City given their CL performance, Chelsea will go crazy again, and no idea really what to expect for the Donetsk/BATE match. EDIT after seeing Mensol's comment. Here goes.

I kept forgetting...well then, since we're hours from gametime, fixed my previous post. Hmmm 5-0 sounds about right? Maybe they'll play a weakened lineup or something... ![]()
