Geiger (the ref) is arguably the best in the federation and actually reffed at the WC and acquitted himself pretty well. Mex vs Panama was always going to be impossible to get totally right with all the shenanigans they get into. Were all his calls spot on? Of course not. But were any totally inexcusable (taking into account he's seeing this all in real time)? I don't think so. Also, re: USA game, I really do think we played well enough to win, we just... didn't (derrrrr). Two mental errors got punished and we couldn't convert our chances. For 80 minutes the USA was by far the better team, just in those 10 minutes of derp, they gave up 2 goals, and Jamaica held their defensive shape well in the second half. You see games just like that one every week in the Prem (albeit with a much higher level of play). People are making a huge deal out of the loss, but Jam is a much improved team, and the USA isn't actually that good yet (maybe by WC 18 we'll get there).

This is the only person in this discussion so far who sounds like he has actually seen the games and doesnt have an opinion based on video clips, vines and agenda driven game reporting. Thank you. I didnt watch the tournament personally so I honestly have like nothing to say about it, but the discussion has been quite entertaining from this particular perspective.

UEFA got into politics or someone wanted to repaint his ship before the holidays? You can actually see illegal flags like the fascist spanish or the nazi ones in the Bernabeu week in and out. Polish teams were regularly fined in the last 2 decades for nationalistic fines by UEFA so it's really nothing new. Legia was even fined with spectator ban for a flag that Vilnius belongs to Poland few years ago.

Anyway, repeating bs moves doesn't make them right. Uefa mafia is a shame to the football world.

Pretty sure protesting inside a stadium in what Barcelona people are doing right? Is not allowed on football as it draws attention to a debate via football which football doesn't want to get involved with xD

Can't possibly agree with UEFA here. Otherwise I'll just be sad that you are the "football guru" here and then move on with life lol. This weekend most Barcelona people will be enjoying sweet beach, me included :3

Way to easy to hide them. I did think they would fine Barca/Pique for planting the Catalan flag though, did that happen already?

Why hasn't Real Madrid got fined for there shit? Simple, because it wasn't in an UEFA match, when it happens in domestic league it is a problem for the Spanish FA who we already know are corrupt and crap due to the huge ass support for the idiot that is Sepp Blatter from the main man in charge. If you cannot see what is wrong with this then you never will but everyone else can see the justified fine. You realize if Barcelona went independent it would be years before the club would get its UEFA membership? Probably would get kicked from LA Liga and have to find another domestic league to play in as well. Also just reading the report Barcelona were lucky not to get partial stadium closure ban and bigger fine, so if anything they got off "luckily" in this case lol. Same way you stop flares etc, you make the fans we all aware they are not allowed to bring these in, if they bring them in they get banned/removed/punished. Like i said domestically it seems Spanish FA doesn't care what happens in the league so they are free to do what they want there, but in UEFA they have rules so there should be special measure for champions league games where they stop them.

I bet there is a lot more of those cases but those are only found in the local media and usually as a small note on the bottom of the page, because seriously not many people care about small club getting fined few thousands euro for a flag in an early round Europa League match, especially if the club is foreign.

Clearly not as you say it is outside the box and appears maybe Sterling handballs it first (might be shoulder though?)
