FIFA Frantically Announces 2015 Summer World Cup In United States ZURICH—After the Justice Department indicted numerous executives from world soccer’s governing body on charges of corruption and bribery, frantic and visibly nervous officials from FIFA held an impromptu press conference Wednesday to announce that the United States has been selected to host this summer’s 2015 World Cup. “We are thrilled to reveal that, for the first time in 21 years, the World Cup will finally return to America, with matches set to kick off today at 5 p.m. local time in Los Angeles,” said FIFA president Sepp Blatter, smiling broadly before unveiling the tournament’s official logo, a hand-drawn stick figure kicking a soccer ball with “USA 2015!” hastily scribbled in black marker above its head. “With world-class venues in cities across the country and a rapidly growing passion for the sport, the U.S. is the perfect choice—really the only choice—for this summer’s tournament. Everyone at FIFA is certain that the 2015 World Cup in America will be a tremendous success, and billions of fans from around the world will, in just a few hours, come together to enjoy this wonderful display of soccer over the coming weeks.” At press time, the U.S. national team was leading defending champions Germany in the World Cup’s opening match after being awarded 12 penalties in the game’s first three minutes.

“The events of yesterday have cast a long shadow over football and this congress. They bring shame and humiliation to football and demand change from us all. We cannot allow the reputation of Fifa to be dragged through the mud any longer. “I know many people hold me ultimately responsible [but] I cannot monitor everyone all the time. If people want to do wrong, they will also try to hide it. “Football cannot be the exception to the rule, that is our responsibility at Fifa, and we will co-operate if anyone is involved in wrongdoing. There can be no place for corruption of any kind. “Let this be the turning point. More needs to be done to make sure everyone in football behaves responsibly and ethically. “Football deserves so much more and we must respond. Tomorrow, at the Congress, we will begin a long and difficult road. “We have lost trust, at least part of it, and we must now earn it back, through the decisions we make. “We like this game … not for greed, not for exploiting, not for power, but because of the love of the game. Solidarity and unity is asked for the game, for the world, for peace.” Blatter after his re-election 2011 “We are going to put Fifa’s ship back on the right course, in clear, transparent waters. We will need some time, we cannot do it from one day to the next, but our pyramid is intact because the foundation is solid, just as solid as our game.”

Tim Wiese would make another damn fine addition to your roster : P

The only mention of a stream is for the opening ceremony and the only thing I found about the election is that it is scheduled as the 17th of the 19 point agenda, so guess for late afternoon?

Says he wants to be one to rebuild the trust haha why should we trust a guy who has mass corruption in his 5 term spell. Why is no one in the press asking these kind of questions either or quoting things that we have posted in here. Makes me even angrier when people cant even ask the questions to put him on the spot.
