Just remember that for a RICO case to go through FIFA would have to be designated a criminal organisation. If that happens the DOJ would sieze control of any FIFA assets it could. There are some very bad endings to this case.

Just imagine the world waking up to the news "FIFA taken over by American Department of Justice" lolol football would officially be broken xd The FIFA is just a football organisation, the USA can do whatever the hell they want with them.

I guess im completely out of touch with the world if America can go, wait what some corrupt dealings going on in the English FA, ok we're shutting you down? (this is taking it to the extreme of course) FIFA is organisation based in Zurich so they can do to them whatever Swiss government will let them to do.

Some of the best ways to get at the powerful is poor financial records, or failure to hide the financial indiscretions.

(this is taking it to the extreme of course) If the US asked Cameron to arrest someone he will do it without hesitation. The reason why its difficult to touch these people is because you can't just barge into the UN/EU/FIFA and start arresting foreign citizens, you need all the countries working together. These football bigwigs have a lot of influence among the elite class in most EU (especially eastern European) countries and there will always be someone to make sure a file gets lost or another subject becomes more important. edit: I think there would be serious political repercussions if a politician just goes in and dismantles the FA. There are a lot of 'but you are killing ESPORTS' as the go-to reaction to everything... So you can imagine the shitstorm if someone pulls a Thatcher in English football today.
