Amusingly enough it's a mistake caused by pronunciation and one which is almost exclusively committed by native speakers. (much like writing apparantly !)

We lost it due to a combination of a few factors: - We played bad. - We got Chelsea'd. - PEC Zwolle played well. - Our 3 world cup players (Cillessen, Blind, Veltman) are not playing yet. Blind re-started training on Friday while coming back from vacation earlier but he wasn't gonna play this match. - We're always bad at the start of the season. Lots of mutations in the squad so the team has to.. well, become a team again. Also, we'll probably have the youngest selection in the Eredivisie (and CL obviously) when the transfer window closes. So everything about this season is gonna be very uncertain. Loads of talent, but talented players are whimsical. One day they can be great, other days not so much. Also, Pande: "bad, worse, worst" ![]() Ah right, so you didn't have strongest team and such. Makes sense then. You guys really like bitching about the English language >.< You ever been to England and heard the way we talk to eachother? I mean if you don't like the way we type then you won't like the way we talk. Well i say we, im the only culprit i guess ![]() On August 05 2014 00:13 Ferrose wrote: It if makes you guys feel any better, it annoys native English speakers as well. Yes but your American-English not English-English xD Doesn't count ![]() Until you spell colour properly in your language then it is not English.

Well i say we, im the only culprit i guess ![]() I've lived in England for 1 year - and was already fluent in American English - and today I still have a lot of trouble understanding you people. I regularly have to call suppliers based in regions with theoretically easy accents like Cambridge or Reading and I still have no idea what the receptionists speak. Usually past the receptionist it gets easier. The most difficult part is when they swallow the consonants, particularly the Ts.

In America a T in the middle of a word is typically pronounced like a D. "Butter" is pronounced like "budder." Sometimes we don't pronounce it at all, for instance, "winter" is usually pronounced like "winner" where I come from.

Yeah it's just because we are so stupidly diverse in our accents for how small our country is. Now you can understand the vast array of accents in America due to its sheer size but in England we sound stupidly different from one place to the next. Even if like me its from Worcester (West Midlands) up to Birmingham which is less than 20miles away. They are brummies and speak with alot of As and Ms on the ends of words and we speak "supposidly" more like farmers. Also some people know my accents from Skype and WoW so they can vouch for the way i sound. No one ever said you sound like a brummie either ![]()

I also lived in the US as a kid and I remember having trouble on how to pronounce 'wait'. Is it "wait", "waid" or should say "wayh'"? In England you might hear someone say "Le's si' for a bi' an' 'av' a bo'ul of wo'ah". At some point it actually starts to sound like Vietnamese.
