Me too. Maybe our memories & feelings from WC2014 are too fresh so that euro 2016 isn't interesting now.

Because they will all qualify in the end anyway either as 2nd or 3rd placed teams. Big Euro is such a stupid concept

I'm excited for the competition, but I don't see how anyone can be excited for qualifiers. Unless you root for some fringe team, then your team is guaranteed to qualify in what are most likely going to be some pretty dull games. Qualifiers don't have any real upsets, competition, etc. Almost every group has very clear winners and losers. It's not until you get to the actual tournament (the "Final") that it gets interesting.

There is literally 0 hype anywhere. When Holland and Germany used to play a bystander would think WWII was still going on the way the players and whole countries were acting. Does anyone here think the Rijkaard - Voller spitting incident would happen today in football? Brazil and Argentina are pretty big rivals right? You think Neymar and Messi would even think about not liking each other during Argentina - Brazil? They are gonna be thinking about going to each other's mansions after the match. No cares given. Thats what modern international football is now, no passion to play for your own country other than another way to hype up your marketing image. EURO 2016 isn't even going to be in one country, it like in Europe or something, how is that hype? /rant

I'm kind of glad for this Euro format since Portugal always screws up in qualifying.

The point I was trying to make is that players should not be on friendly terms with players from rival clubs/countries, whats the point of the rivalry then. Just call it pansy hello kitty day. Just call it pansy hello kitty day. Arrrggg + Show Spoiler + ![]() People don't have to hate each other in an international world if they are rivals. That's just ridiculous. There are many friendly rivalries in the sports world, and the fact is that they play together for the vast majority of the time means that it just wouldn't be practical. There's plenty of hype and excitement about the actual tournaments. The problem is that the qualifiers are almost never exciting.

They then lost 7-0 to Poland and are currently 7-0 down vs Rep. of Ireland. Hmmm, San Marino vs Gibraltar show match please? I was about to ask who is probably the worst team in europe of those 2, but you beat me to it :D I guess if Platinis wishes get real (Nations League), we might see sooner than we really wish.
