Ibrahimovic: ‘Everybody was trash-talking me. Now they’re eating their words. That is my trophy
So how did this punk from Rosengard get all the way to where I am now?” he asks. Nobody believed I could do it. Everybody was trash‑talking. They thought I will go away because I have a big mouth. They thought this guy’s vision is crazy. It will not happen. But I had these dreams of where I would end up. And now here I am.Let’s go back 15 years and all I saw then has come true. Everybody who was trash-talking me? Now they are eating their words. This is my real trophy.
“This [100th cap] was proof that the dream is real. It’s what I’ve been expecting. I knew I would get the [Swedish goalscoring] record. The record became important only when I said I will beat it. This was the 82‑year‑old record of 49 goals for Sweden. Nobody thought about it before I said that record will be mine. The captaincy only became important when I was made captain. Before that it was ‘OK, you become captain for some games‚ then you‚’ But that’s why I am living proof for anyone who feels different. I am the captain of Sweden and I broke the record.
“In Holland they play beautiful football, the Ajax way, one touch, give and go. Their system is so interesting. They are not speaking about midfielders or strikers. It’s all about numbers. No7 is right wing. No9 is centre-forward, No10 is behind him. The competition is not the same as other countries but it was the perfect start. And then I went to Italy.
I (Barcelona) was probably with the best team in history. Their football was beautiful. When I prepared for a game, I knew I had won even before we started. I looked at the players around me and saw Messi and Iniesta and Xavi and Puyol and Piqué and Dani Alves and Busquets. Unbelievable! It was football from another planet and I loved it. It was technically perfect “Yes, but they were so disciplined. They are superstars but it was like – not a school but a place of incredible discipline. They were willing to do everything the coach tells them. When you go to Italy it’s different. You have 22 big personalities and each one thinks he’s the best in the world.
Mourinho is very intelligent. He doesn’t treat everybody the same. He knows how to treat people as individuals to get 100% out of them.
Is Mourinho the most intelligent coach he has ever played for? “Yes. In the way he approaches players and – ‘manipulates’ is the wrong word – gets them very pumped up? No doubt.
I have won 23 collective titles but the one that is missing is the Champions League. At PSG we are trying to win it. But even if we don’t, the 23 I have already won, coming from where I did, are incredible. I’ve had an amazing adventure.”
Agree a lot micro. People allways talk about BVB defence atm but it's their DM that a disaster atm. When you know Gündogan, Bender, Kirch and Sahin aren't 100 % in form for quiet a while than you have to do something about it and it's exactly that what makes BVB so bad atm.
Leverkusen's Omer Toprak and Hakan Calhanoglu refuses to play against Czech and Latvia. Besiktas's winger Gokhan Tore came NT camp with a GUN and threaten Calhanoglu for unkown reasons.
This accident is happened around 1 years ago and Calhanoglu's dad revealed after Tore getting call for NT again. Leverkusen management is also angry about this accident and they say they dont understand what Terim is trying to do.

How didn't Arsenal notice all this? The German national team had to send him to an MRI scan to find the problem. Maybe the reason Arsenal has all of these injuries is incompetent medical staff.

I've noticed in Turkish soap opera's there seems to be at least one scene per episode where someone pulls a gun, maybe some of these players have been watching too much tv.

You've got to be kidding me. This is ridiculous. This season is not meant to be.
Pleasee tell me when a season is "meant to be" for Arsenal haha :3
Sorry couldn't resist
Invincibles!
While on the topic of invincibles, Chelsea has a legit shot at going through this season undefeated. Yeah, it's only been 7 games, but this feels like the first season for a long time where we are just dominating on paper and on the pitch. I would say only Man City could beat us without it being called a fluke.

Long story short, unbeaten season incoming.
Nahh.... Chelsea is far from an unbeaten aura
The 2003/2004 Arsenal side was knocked out of the CL at the quarter-final stage by Chelsea, and they went down in both domestic cups before the finals.
I wasn't saying Chelsea gonna dominate Europe (though I did predict a quadruple). In the PL it seems most big teams apart from Man City have gotten weaker, so not losing till the end of the season is a possibility.

Apparently we did:
From the Arsenal website: Ozil complained of a sore left knee after the game and the club advised the German FA to run medical checks when he joined up with his international squad.

Wat. Obviously I've been frustrated with his form and him being played despite it, but I'd never wish an injury on one of our players. I assume you're joking, but still. An injury isn't going to motivate him.
As far as Chelsea going unbeaten for the entire league season? I don't see it happening. Had Cahill been sent off, Chelsea are down to 4 first-team-quality defenders. An injury would be devastating. You'll probably stomp the league pretty good, but going unbeaten is a whole different beast.
I love how there's all this talk about Chelsea stomping the league and possibly going unbeaten, but the Bundesliga is criticized for having the title decided in October. Sounds like you guys think the PL is decided already as well.
