Though really it's their attackers back to defend who are fouling, the first one was Totti on Pirlo challenge and that one was Pjanic.

The only thing i saw today was a weak ref which helped chelsea with the big decisions. Edit: The only thing you can say was that chelsea were more clinical. They didn't outplay arsenal. Chelsea were certainly the better team today, I though that was pretty clear. Our main problem for years have been counters, and Chelsea are ridiculously strong. Hazard has been allowed to slalom through our team so many times. Chambers was left alone with hazard so often and we suffered for it. Flamini and Arteta aren't good enough to play DM in a team that wants to challenge for the title. Then Özil. I'm not saying it's all on Wenger, this one. Özil drifted out to the wings back at RM as well to find space, but with Cazorla played at the same side, he just becomes invisible as his confidence seems to have hit rock bottom. Özil being left on the pitch when the three players (Cazorla, Alexis, Wilshere) who looked like they could cause some concern for Chelsea were taken off. Benching a player doesn't always result in him finding motivation, but we're basically playing with 10 men with Özil in this form. Atkinson was awful today, but to say he helped Chelsea is daft. Both teams were lucky to end the game with 11 players. Cahill should have had a straight red. As should Kosc. As should Welbeck. Chambers and Oscar are debatable. Unbelievable how we have such shit refs in arguably the best league in the world. Chelsea have a clear idea when they step onto a pitch and know how they want to score. Mou has never lost to Arsene, because he actually adapts to opponents, and he is maybe the best manager in the world at defending against possession-football. @Juve-Roma, beautiful goal by Iturbe. Wish this Gervinho showed up for Arsenal. Haha, another penalty for Juve. This game is mad. 2-2 now. Roma players are in the box several times before the penalty. Red has completely lost the players. I smell several red cards in the second half. And the penalty should probably have been a free-kick.

Of course Tottenham is a big club. edit: and I watched that Europa League game against Partizan, Championship clubs should be beating Partizan. edit2: At least you are in front of Arsenal ![]() It was the second XI + Lloris playing vs. Partizan, and the pitch was among the worst I have ever seen. Add in the anti-Semitic banner held up by Partizan supporters and you have a typical Spurs Europa evening. The start to the season hasn't been great for Spurs but at least Pochettino won't be sacked with that 5 year contract. He needs a chance to ship out the underperformers and bring in his own players next summer. This season should be used to rebuild, especially considering Chelsea will win the league by 15 pts anyway.

Other than that, their counter attacks weren't impressive. The one thing I can give Mourinho is that he knows that referees in the EPL do not like to send off players in big matches and so he asks his team to kick the living shit out of the other team and gets away with it. Also, Kosc's penalty isn't a red because he's facing the opponent and he trips him. It's a foul anywhere else on the field so don't give me this crap about last man. If he came from behind and clipped him then I would agree with you. Maybe I'm just frustrated that we didn't get the early red (which would have essentially sealed the game for us) or that blatant penalty with the hands in the second half. I agree welback should have been sent off in normal circumstances, but when the referee is appalling and let's the players do whatever they want in the game and slows down the game that arsenal are playing (many circumstances where arsenal would get fouled and then he would go and have a talk with the chelsea player while not booking them and then react differently for arsenal), it becomes frustrating to watch. Wengers subs might seem weird, specially when cazorla was playing fairly well but he looked tired when he came off. Ozil needs to man the fuck up and start getting pissed off and playing better I wholeheartedly agree with what you are saying there. I think after the 2-0, he just wanted to inject energy and score a goal but he knew the game was over then. Btw, Arsenal knew what they were doing today, It wasn't a blowout, it wasn't dominance. It was a much tighter game then you think. chelsea had 3-4 chances arsenal had 1-2. Chelsea took theirs and arsenal didn't.

Sporting won 4-0; Benfica won 4-0 (despite playing poorly and struggling until the 75th minute when the first goal was scored); Porto won 2-1 (despite not having the greatest game, there were other goal chances for both sides, result could have been different). And Martins Indi scored his first goal for FCPorto ![]()
