If Zlatan did that there would have been 3 pages about it already.

Another thing I forgot to mention is how much did it help Southampton not having to play at home first. After the summer they have had that could have been a toxic atmosphere and really got to the players. But after watching that performance against Liverpool yesterday even though they lost I bet a lot of Southampton fans will be a lot more positive about the season ahead now. I expect the fans to get behind their team next Saturday back at St Mary’s.

I expect the fans to get behind their team next Saturday back at St Mary’s. I think the while Southampton exodus has been in large part a fabrication of the media. As a fan of a team it's never nice to see so many players leave but the organization was making steps to replace what left. They got inflated fees for nearly all their players, put their foot down when their top player, Schneiderlin, wanted to go and replaced the squad with some talented players such as Tadic. Southampton looked really good against Liverpool, possibly should have won it on chances created, but didn't have quality in the final third. I think they will be able to recreate their season from last year. They have made a boatload of money this summer, replaced their losses relatively well (except maybe Shane Long who is overpriced haha...) and are still playing good football. No reason at all to be upset as a fan in the end.

Just don't see any reason for Southampton to sell him at this point as they have paid off their debts and it's so late now that they can't replace him. Unless the offer is obscene, like 50 million £ + then I doubt they sell him. I expect him to quiet down, play well this season and then be sold next season to a top club like he wants.

Unless the offer is obscene, like 50 million £ + then I doubt they sell him. I expect him to quiet down, play well this season and then be sold next season to a top club like he wants. I can see a reason: the owner has no interest in the club (she recently inherited it) and is asset stripping so that she can sell it. I'd imagine they'll spend just enough of the money from the exodus to avoid relegation. Remember, Pochettino bought out his contract with his own money and resigned as fast as humanly possible. A few months before that, the chairman Cortese mysteriously quit amid whispers of a rift between him and Liebherr (the owner). Why were they so eager to leave the exciting project that they had put so much hard work into? I could be wrong, of course, but in any case the Schneiderlin saga is far from over.

![]() Vomit inducing. Here's an image with all the colors from each Premier league team from a few years ago: + Show Spoiler + Red, blue, red, blue, and then you have Newcastle which chose to go with zero colors, and more red blue and red blue. The cherry on top of the cake is that you actually have teams calling themselves "the reds" and "the blues". What happened to all the other colors? Can you be less imaginative? You go down to the Championship and you do actually see teams with other colors: Watford, Blackpool (fun fact: they don't wear black), Leeds, Norwich, Wolves. For reference, here's a color wheel: + Show Spoiler + ![]()
