How the fuck is the Lakers included there with Kobe's salary? I thought they had no cap space?

Bucks firing Coach Drew (who they probably asked to tank) to fit in Kidd. The Bucks and Kidd are made for each other.

I didn't realize Kobe's cap hit goes down from around $30.5M this year to $23.5M next year. Still, that's going to be a very thin roster even if they nab a Lebron. Would need to trade Nash or convince him to retire.

I thought they had no cap space? We literally don't have a roster. Robert Sacre, Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash and now Julius Randle are our only players that we have committed for the season (and Julius Randle is still technically not on the team yet) We gave a qualifying offer to Ryan Kelly so he's a RFA. We have PLENTY of cap space, problem is that if we nabbed Lebron we wouldn't have much room to do things like... have a bench. Then again, Jim Buss has said over and over again that going over the luxury tax isn't a problem for him. So perhaps if we get a free agent signing like Lebron, we would just go over the luxury tax to fill in the roster with players around him.
