I keep getting some cagey emails from NBA saying it will be updated at a lower price (as I'm a "loyal" returning customer) but they never say how much that is. last year i bought an "indian" version for ~ $100AUD. friend said he found some african one this time around, so waiting for that to come online

If only TV networks like HBO took note of how well a properly executed PPV system like ILP work they could go a long way to solving pirating of content. Apparently Ballstreams service is even better than League Pass. It just launched last year and I've been reading reviews but it's supposedly cheap. For Americans in a local market we don't have to deal with blackouts and get to see all the special access stuff League Pass doesn't show. Still reading stuff but the consensus is the broadband League Pass for Americans is just not good enough.

USA. The blackouts are stupid. Very few people under 30 get TV subscriptions with how readily available almost all TV content is on the internet. The ONLY reason I wanted League Pass was to watch Laker games, Wizards games, and other good games. Well, Lakers are out because I live in LA (can't watch local games via league pass), and almost any good/notable game is blacked out because they're nationally televised. With league pass you can't watch a vast majority of the games you'd be interested in watching. I get why the NBA does it -- they make WAY more money via you watching games on TV instead of online, but it sucks for the people that DONT have TV. I think they could come up with a price point to make it worthwhile. I'd happily give the NBA $500 per year for the same league pass as right now, but with no blackouts. I'd rather pay the NBA $500 than Ballstreams $100, but I have no option, so I shall use ballstreams this year
