In the off-season, rumors of Mark Giordano's involvement with a local reporter will cause the player to demand a trade, at which point he will be dealt for 10 cents on the dollar and the Flames, while opening the season to much promise and anticipation, will become a lottery team for the next decade. That's how it works, right?

I think the flames will be interesting because advanced stats seem to indicate they're kind of lucky (high pdo, bleed shot attempts and don't do a ton themselves) and reliant on a few players. but at the same time, stats and all that jazz are a whole lot more accurate for tracking established players. the flames have a whole bunch of young guys who are constantly improving i dont really feel spite. i dunno what it is but ive disliked the kings before last year. chicago is my west team

Unfortunately, they will quickly lose Jonas Hiller to injury and be unable to close out the series, eventually losing in game 7. But LA plays Calgary on Thursday, and Calgary plays Winnipeg on Saturday. Getting pretty intense now. So if Calgary vs Winnipeg got to a shootout and Calgary wins that shootout....hahaha I love how bad Toronto is right now. Losing doesn't even help them because they can't fall further in the standings! Columbus looks like they are playing an AHL team :p

Meanwhile, Boston have a game in hand over Ottawa, but are getting wrecked by Washington right now. They're still in control of their own destiny however since they have more ROW than Ottawa.

If its sub 2 million then its ok. You do need cheap plug players when you have several big contracts on your team. The other signing seems to range between "bad" and "not the worst".

OTT plays Rangers and Philly, while Boston plays Cats and tampa. Pens play Isles and Sabres. Doesnt seem too easy for Sens tbh ...
