ott won the season series 3-1 though. I could see it happening for sure. MTL is really dependent on a few select players and pax has hot brain. ott doesn't score tons but they score more (MTL has the least gf of east playoff teams) and they get it throughout the roster.

Ottawa scares the hell out of me as a Montreal fan. Even before Hammond and their run, for some reason Ottawa just has Montreal's number as of late, just like how Boston can't seem to beat us, we can't beat Ottawa. I'd much rather have faced basically any other team.

I'm just glad that the season's over. This has been the hardest season ever as a Coyotes fan. They looked slightly better than a beer league team. Most nights. For the playoffs, I'm rooting for the Blackhawks in the west and probably the Habs in the east. I feel bad for Canada not having won the Stanley Cup in forever :D

I think MIN v STL is a tossup, I chose my fav team. But they're destined to lose sigh... Can't see ANA not making conference finals. I think OTT has a chance to get past Tampa but honestly the rangers are going to stomp their way to the final.

if I weren't a Ranger fan I would too. They're a really fun team to watch. Tavares is fantastic, and h'es probably going to get his due respect after this year finally, and Okposo has finally turned into a really good forward.

I am rooting that NYI/NYR happens at some point in the playoffs. But both do have good challenges. Even a gimpy flawed Penguin team can still be dangerous. I also think Washington is kind of underrated this year. They really never should have gotten rid of Grabovski, but Johannsen is a pretty decent 2C. They don't have great forward depth, but their defense is actually kind of underrated, and Holtby has kind of quietly become a very good goalie.

Oilers do A Smart Thing and re-up Yakcity for 2yrs/$5m total. That's totally fair and gives him time to prove himself and he's cheap enough to move if he doesn't

I used to think AV was good but overrated coach but i'll be damned if he isn't getting every single little bit out of that roster now. granted it is a pretty damn good roster but yeah

I do think Yak is a good player waiting to happen but he's just been misused like everyone else in Edmonton
