How are you so sure he even dove? Graves slashing Mario was about as hard as that and it broke his wrist. It doesn't take a ton of power to hurt you, much less break something. Even if it hurt him enough to take him out for just a couple minutes it was well earned.

you can find a slash that looks like that in every game.... but yeah the fight after the final buzzer guarantees it will be an interesting next game indeed. stone was on the ice for that despite his injury btw.

suban is a goon for slashing for no reason but that was a dive and a really harsh penalty.

Was a fucking stupid move by Subban but in no way was it that vicious of a slash or worthy of a game misconduct like that. Ottawa can cry all they want Stone was back and looking just fine in that scrum at the end. Stone sold that call, don't get me wrong probably stung and is gonna leave a bruise simply because it caught him just where the glove ends but flailing on the ice like a fish out of water is just stupid, go play soccer if you want to act like that.

As a Montreal fan I'm obviously going to have some bias, but I do admit it was a stupid play by Subban, but if they suspend him over it I'm gonna lose my mind.

Either way Not Patches, No Subban and we still win! Bring on Game 2 This series is gonna get crazy!

He shouldn't be suspended, but the 5 minute major is 100% deserved. You don't fucking go over and two hand slash someone on the wrist, especially against one of the star players of the other team. Yeah, he ended up being fine, but it also could have ended up being a serious injury. You do stupid goon shit, you pay the consequences.

Agreed. When a strong player like PK Subban swings his solid hockey stick with both hands at your completely and totally unprotected wrists that wouldn't hurt in any way shape or form and he should have just shrugged it off.

putting this aside, nas - chi is in OT2 and it's realy a good game especially if you're into goalies. Darling has killed it since coming in for Crawford, who is pretty much MAF west

Lol what? It wasn't near that hard man. Seriously watch it again closely he puts nearly no effort into it, first glance it may look harsh because of the angle and having two hands on his stick at the time but actually watch it. Still again stupid but to say it was anywhere near as harsh as that slash is just flat out wrong imo.

But seriously what a fucking night of playoff hockey, crazy Montreal Ottawa game, Nashville Chicago is insane and Vancouver vs Calgary is a damn good game. Can't ask for much more for the opening night of the playoffs!
