![]() In other news, Tobias Reader just scored two shorthanded goals against Edmonton on the same powerplay. Edmonton has literally lost every single game against western teams. In those 14 games, they have 3 points. Looks like another loss tonight.

Their next shift, Jagr is down low in the corner and tosses it out front. And Bortuzzo comes in way late and absolutely drills him in the face I think the league sometimes errs in the name of safety in those hits, but that was about as clear as it gets with trying to intentionally injure someone on a dirty play e; https://gfycat.com/CourteousEnragedBactrian

I highly doubt that the standings will look anything like they do now. The fringe teams are playing well and the top teams are playing rather poorly. Well except Chicago who seems to have finally figured out that putting the puck in the damn net helps win more than doubling your opponents shots every game. Now all they need is for Hossa to get hot and theyll go on a mad tear. Not that going 5-1 on their annual road trip wasn't a fun time to watch. I remember seeing a story somewhere that generally, the teams in playoff spots now are the teams that most often end up in the playoffs. This never applies to the Leafs though. Also, idiot Bortuzzo has a hearing. No word if phone or in person yet. Also also, the Kings got hit with a $100k fine for having Voynov practice with the team.

In recent times I don't think I've ever been able to say that. Dont Western teams have a winning record vs East? Even the Oilers can beat Eastern teams.

What I meant more was that the top teams of the East seem stronger than the top teams of the West for the first time in awhile - at least from my perspective. I don't think Edmonton being 6-3 vs Eastern teams means much of anything except for the lack of depth in the East, which I don't disagree with. tl:dr West is deeper, East might be stronger at the top

"It's an exciting rink with a good atmosphere, another reminder of how fun it is to play in the NHL." @hallsy04 on playing in WPG tonight After Ference criticized 'certain' players on the Oilers for not being excited enough about playing in the NHL.

I don't even know who the problem is anymore. But I am sure that the scapegoats will be all of the talented young kids, and not gm fuckface who constructed a team that's without a bottom two lines, or any kind of nhl level defense or goalie
