Are they gonna go through his financials to make sure he can't profit off of legally owning a team for the duration of the suspension? It's basically almost as bad as being BANNED from teamliquid. The guy attends games in person and is likely a huge fan if he's an owner. So they're just not letting him ever see an NBA game live for the rest of his life.
He's banned from all team facilities and apparently doesn't control any of the player/personnel operations either(not sure how that works though since someone still has to be signing the checks and shit right? Like can Eljin Baylor just make retarded moves on purpose to make the team shit and Sterling can't do anything about it?)

so it means the NBA can override owners in deciding who gets to come to games? Posters on a forum post, so if you are banned you can't post, same thing for players who get banned, they can't play. But how can you use the same terminology for owners? Ban someone from owning doesn't really make sense here. Kudos to Silver's PR team for coming with a forceful rhetoric, but I don't think the reaction should be like OMG WE WON.

Are you sure? Private owners of English soccer teams can do anything, but usually don't since exercising too much power reflects badly on both the owner and the club's management hierarchy.
Also, if the owners wanted to vote Sterling out, does that even require Silver's permission? What kind of power does Silver actually have here?
Edit: Like right now I don't know what normal Clippers pregame is like but they're acting like the Celtics after the marathon bombing.

silver can't stop/tell the owners to vote sterling out (silver essentially is an employee of the owners) and that vote is up to the owners, his input is not even required basically.

He's obviously not gonna stop it, I'm asking if the vote even requires Silver's approval to go through. If not then Silver is literally useless here.
Sorry to be so cynical but I didn't realize players from other teams were also planning on boycotting. That would have been a sensible move from the players' side, and If so then again, Silver had no choice but did the obvious. He just dropped some hype words like BANNED. I also read that he didn't make up his mind until last night, as if all of this was up to him in any way whatsoever.

Wow, David Aldridge just reported that had Sterling not been suspended, the Clippers had commitments from four other teams that none of them would play tonight, including the approval of John Wall and Kevin Durant. That's serious stuff.

KD - 39.6 FG% | 26.5 3P%
Westbrook - 35.1 FG% | 19.4 3P% (LMAO)
Harden - 35.0 FG% | 26.8 3P%
All of them are attempting over 8 three pointers a game as well lol. Brooks gets the full blame for their amazing chucking ability.

Silver can (and has) call for the vote to remove Sterling. He's also responsible for convincing any owners who need convincing why it's in their best interests to fire Sterling. Silver doesn't have a vote, but that doesn't mean he's not doing anything.

OKC got it down to 6 going into the 4th. Should be another great finish in this series.

This playoffs is pretty fucking exciting.
The only series that isn't surprising is the Miami-Cats matchup.
