Fair, but someone dumb like Milwaukee (they can't but I hope you get my drift) is gonna give him 4 years at 44 million like they did with Evans in NO. He's not worth that. Like Rodman and Artest, he might work under Phil Jackson though.

He's a body language nightmare, and thinks he's an alpha dog when he's not at all one. well lets say u dont sign him, who would u get to replace him? looking at the free agent list for this summer, there's not much there. and if u cant replace him, the pacers take a step back.

Thanks for making us have to play a game of basketball or two to get to the Finals. Love, The Heatles

That's a really good point, and one that I like to make when talking about coaches. If the grass is so much greener, who are you going to get in his place (see Jackson, Mark). The more I think about it, the more I think you have to swallow the pill and deal with the BS. He's only 23, and he seems to be still improving. He has the potential to be a top 3 player on a quality club, at a position that's the weakest in the league. The more I think about it, I think I'd begrudgingly sign him. Good points! EDIT: I think the shame of it is that Indiana's pretty much locked in. If they re-sign Stephenson, that's their squad. Hibbert's on the books for two more years, and Hill for three. West's time has to be running out. They really can't get better unless their team improves individually.

He's a good one on one defender and one of the only Pacers that is good at scoring off the dribble, especially since PG shot like shit. He's guarded Lebron and been a good scorer for the Pacers this series. What else do you want him to do in terms of playing basketball? IMO you don't let the increased attention his antics have gotten this series push you into making a bad decision where you don't re-sign a good player because he's receiving internet hate all of a sudden.

I think the second answers the first. As I've expressed (albeit via a change in my stance), I think the Pacers have to reluctantly re-sign him. He's likely still improving, but I don't think he's ever going to be the top dog (George has to be), he's still 23 and fairly talented. He's always been a clown, this series just brought it out. He's a proven stat chaser, and I can't believe that's good for team morale. I think they must bring him back because they have no other choice, but they don't have to like it either. They're never going to so significant damage unless he accepts he's number two (if that), not number one. It's a problem that I think Durant and Westbrook have to resolve as well.

You would be much happier having Westbrook and Durant sorting that out, than Stephenson and George though :p The reality is this is a vastly overrated team whos hype is based off of a good matchup with the Heat and overplaying starters during the regular season. Probably they dont make the west Semis.
