And that one call against the clippers that changed the series The foul on Mills for kicking his leg out was accurate. I have no idea how that impacts the awarding of points, or not, if the shot was already up.

I hope he isn't hurting his long-term career by coming back and playing when he shouldn't be

I really like Ibaka. One of the best utility players in the game IMO.

![]() What a fucking screwjob. I know we didn't play well and all...but god did that felt bad watching. Plus the fact they so blatantly tried to even out the FTAs in garbage time was such a comedy.

Feeling pretty vindicated on the ibaka love, his length and athleticism changed the game with that early offence and shutting down Parker and the PnR whenever he was out there. Spurs looked scared in the paint and only hung in it with 3's. Assuming he's healthy for the remainder the series could go either way now. Can't stand Durant and especially Westbrook now. Painful watching the sheer amount of whining and bitching over calls that aren't bad, then they get carried so hard. Deserve every tech they get. Ibaka was never going to be the reason OKC didn't win this series and I still think it's so. It's not like I said him being out made OKC better. Of course it hurt them but I wasn't buying into all the doom and gloom before the series that OKC was gone because of Ibaka being out. Madness!

With Ibaka back, OKC did the things that have really given the spurs trouble with manic rotations defensively and legitimate shot blocking to challenge the layup line. They looked much more comfortable defensively, like everyone knew where they were supposed to be again, which had not been the case in G1/2. There was also a bit of a clear emotional boost for a team that had been getting clobbered.

Seemed like the Spurs were attempting a lot more jump shots than OKC. Whole heartedly agree. But as doc said, just because you're having a bad game doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to compete in fair conditions. But then again the conditions weren't that __unfair__. And I'm a huge fanboy.

If OKC wins this series, they truly are a team of destiny, as they've basically been pushed to the brink in 3 straight series. I don't like that call on Mills. You can do a split on the floor if you don't hit anybody. The kicking the leg rule is predicated on the idea that you know where the person is and initiate the contact. It doesn't seem to make sense that you are subjected to the same rule when the defender is moving and looks to be out of control. Woops, quoted myself lol.

It doesn't seem to make sense that you are subjected to the same rule when the defender is moving and looks to be out of control. Woops, quoted myself lol. That foul on Mills is like the textbook for why it is and should be a foul. First, it's clearly intentional. Notice how he swings the leg after he's jumped, and that doing so forces him to land on just his left foot. That's not a natural motion. Regardless, the issue is safety. The easiest way to explode an ankle/knee is to land on someone's foot while jumping. That's why you're not allowed to go under a jump shooter, it makes perfect sense that you're not allowed to endanger the defensive player just because you have/had the ball. Durant's not out of control at all there, he's hustling for a close-out and gets his legs taken out, and consequently falls. I'm not painting Patty Mills up as some kind of hit man or anything, but that's exactly the kind of leg kick the rule is intended to take out of the game. And I get your issue is more with the rule than the accuracy of the enforcement of the rule. Frankly though, I wish they would move more towards this kind of call, where the player initiating contact is the fouler (looking at you Harden!) as I think it would reduce the hunting of fouls that really slow the game down.
