Funnily enough, on Dec. 7 the Jazz play the Kings and the Pacers play the Spurs, which are their weakest/strongest opponents. Assuming that the Pacers get by the Bulls and then get to like 20-0. You know in sports you learn not to make too much of anything, but when you start going like 10-0, you start to enter "75% of teams that started 10-0 won the championship (numbers made up)" territory.

Well, the stopping of the drive was just Paul having good strength and accuracy, and it should've been a jump ball at that point. But then his arm comes off and hits Brewer in the head, and it then should've been a foul. But the original defense wasn't a foul, just a tie up. ![]() The refs made a make up call on the next possession though, as I'm pretty sure Reddick made absolutely zero contact with Martin's jumper. I agree with the earlier point about the Clippers being easy to root against, though.

I really dig how efficiently we can score inside. Those possessions almost feel like they deserve a compound FG %, since there's a relatively high chance of Monroe/Drummond getting an offensive rebounds. Don't like some of the guard drives, but that's been the case for years. Stuckey and Bynum are mysteriously good at penetrating but only so so finishers. I wish they had a better shooting option to pass out to. I guess the same goes for Jennings. 28 points on 24 shots or w/e doesn't make me happy, although I've been pleasantly surprised with his defense. I see where the disinterested claims about Josh Smith come from. That bothers me more than the 3's. He should leave an imprint on every possession, but sometimes I forget he's in. It's almost Sheed-like (Smith's post moves looked so good tonight but he didn't use them enough) except Sheed was always noticeable on defense. This team does not give full effort on defense yet. I don't think the core of their defense has ever really learned how to. Not sure how that gets fixed. I've never seen an NBA coach coach less than Mo Cheeks. I don't understand what the hell he's doing on the bench. They showed him speaking like 3 times the entire game, and the rest of the time he's just quietly sitting there, even when the Blazers went on their runs. Maybe he's just a practice guy? You'd think with a young team like this, there'd be lots of in-game teaching to go around.

Next time you watch Greg Monroe, notice that he puts that much movement and effort in, except he always ends up where he started. He basically just spins in place. ![]()
