2,000 out of how many? if 2,000 out of 10,000...80% capacity is still pretty good
80% is pretty bad in the NBA actually. Would make them #24 out of 30 in the league if that was their average.
really? jesus. i watch almost all rockets games and i swear toyota centre is never anywhere near 80%. do the bobcats and kings fill out 80% too? :|
The Rockets are at 100.3% for the season. The Kings have made a huge jump up thanks to new ownership, were sub 80% last year and are at 92% this year. Bobcats are at 78.6%
thanks for the reference. i seriously can't believe rockets at 100% unless people bought tickets and not rock up....:| even the okc game there were plenty spare seats. same as today. interesting non the less!
The Pacers are just on another level. Dubs tried today but Pacers never looked like losing.
I'm wondering if anyone other than Miami, Indy and the Spurs have a realistic chance. Maybe OKC if WB can come back, Dubs/Houston/Clips look like outsiders for me. Can't see anyone else making a run.

That's one thing that can happen. The team can also purchase tickets and donate them, or give them to employees or do free promotions. It's all a matter of accounting, and accounting is dirty as shit.
The teams know the actual attendance, but that's not the reported box score figure. Box score figure is just there because that's what sponsors and advertisers base their rates on, and I guess they're satisfied with the current facade.

If they're healthy they're probably a slight favorite.

Toyota Center always has a ton of fans in the lower bowl that stay in the lounge areas for the whole game socializing and eating/drinking more than cheering. I haven't attended any games this season, but in the past we would buy the cheapest seats we could find and get reservations at the Red and White Bistro which is located in the middle section between the lower bowl and upper bowl cheap seats. For $45 you get basicly a chef prepared all you can eat buffet, and the total cost including a cheap seat and drinks was about what it could be to sit at the top of the lower bowl area. Just have to request a table near the balcony for the best view of the game.
A little relieved Lakers lost to Bulls yesterday lol.
Marshall is too good of a passer for us to just flat out tank dammit! He has one ugly shot but he makes up for it in smarts. And if he continues to get better shooting-wise, it won't matter what his form looks like I guess. Same for Kelly. He def looks outmatched at times out there but he is a smart, confident rookie. Both went to UNC-Duke so they come with a different kind of confidence already.
Meeks is still my team-MVP though. He comes to work every day.
And yes to Anthony Davis. That's why I am glad I went to go see him this year at Staples(so I can say I did it on purpose years down the road). I thought he would go ham but it was his 2nd game with the Lakers in a few days and they were able to shut him down mostly by sticking J.Hill on him to prevent him from running. He is great and will be a beast soon though.\
EDIT: Pau gasol tweeted this pic of him and Kendall Marshall 11 years ago at the All-Star game (lol):
kinda feel sorry for the blazers, texas road trip with rockets/okc back to back :S...batum has gotten his ass handed to him by parsons and kd in 2 nights.
also. when did perkins get so clutch, block, rebound, jump and steal all in the last 2 minutes. wow
