 Uruguay has a smaller population sure, but they have a much better "Football Network" and far more international experience, two of the biggest factors in becoming a great international team. I've just finished reading Soccernomics and it's a pretty brilliant book that uses statistical analysis to explain trends in the game from player development, to success in the international and domestic game. Pretty fantastic read if you haven't got a chance. Soccernomics | ||
