Oh my, I just watched the clip from barca's game that was totally overlooked because it was not of any interest but damn did Neymar play.

Yeah I didn't understand that either. There is only one greek team, and eight groups of teams finishing first Olmpiacos can be drawn against. Take away the team that won the group they were in and you're left with seven possible teams for them to be drawn against.

As an Arsenal fan, I'm sure many of them big teams won't want to be drawn against us considering the easy sides they could potentially face. You have to beat the best to win and finishing second after all that is a blow, whatever. An extra hard round, instead of an easier win. I feel it's more a problem to do with the fixtures in the EPL surrounding the CL fixtures. It would have been nice for an easier opponent.

This is not about olympiacos, we can obviously play anyone.
But there's this rule that makes sure same leagues' teams don't clash as early as in the ro16.
So, bayern for example can not play a 2nd from a group with another german team.
Arsenal is 2nd and had dortmund in their group so...

At least I think so, correct me if I'm wrong.

The chances that Olympiakos face a German or English team slightly increase due to the country-rule, but it's not like the Spanish teams are any weaker.

I actually like the rule, because I don't want to see the same matches I can see in the national leagues all the time so early in the competition, it makes things more interesting.

Out of the three Italian sides the worst one managed to make it and even Milan got lucky ajax couldn't find the winner. It is funny that the least experienced side (Napoli) performed best of all and just got screwed with an unlucky draw, but things aren't looking good for Italy.

So who are your favourites now?
For me:
1- Bayern, so stronk, they didn't really play vs Manchester City
2- Real Madrid, Ancelotti is finally starting to make his team play better, enough to win the CL?
3- Atletico, they are freaking scary to play, it would be even worse in a 2 legs playoff

I'll put Barcelona in my top 3 if they show something more in the next games and when Messi comes back.

For me:
1 - Bayern
2 - Atletico, look really scary to me and are capable of beating any team in 2 legs.
3 - Barcelona, a rested Messi will be scary as hell.

Real for me haven't looked that impressive. They have enough talent to beat out the smaller sides, but will they gel to beat Bayern, Atletico and Barcelona? I'm not even sure if Suarez is going to change that.
