Ahhh ok, lol I didn´t read that. I have misunderstood: the guy who throw the banana wasn´t part of the plan, they had planned to do a marketing campaing with the next banana thrown to Alves.
|
So basically they've been getting abused constantly and decided to take a stand the next time they were abused (which was against Villareal), how the news title is written it seems that they planned everything, including having someone throw a banana at them.
It's just happened so often that they're capable of having a plan for this type of behavior, which is just sad .
|
Ahhh i missread it too, thank you. I thought it was planned all the way. This makes it even more sad because it happens so often that you plan something like that.
It doesnt make it any better but throwing bananas is a bad habit in Germany too, but it its white players too: + Show Spoiler +

German humor bro, German humor....one of lifes biggest mysteries along with Women.

Due to his behaviour, Oliver Kahn was often compared to a gorilla.
If you have followed the SC forums during Iloveoov's time (and still nowadays sometimes), you can probably comprehend the situation a little better. The deciding difference though is that the comparison to Oov was meant in a funny way while the comparison to Kahn was meant as an insult.
During a specific time at which Kahn was very unpopular in Germany, throwing bananas at him then became a habit. The reason Neuer was thrown at (which I think only happened once) was just that he is the goalkepper of Bayern and once celebrated a goal in a similar fashion to Kahn.
edit: Tbh the first picture of Kahn is hilarious, he really looks like an ape there.

An Arsenal fan got a (unfair imo) life ban from the Emirates for throwing a banana at Gareth Bale at WHL last season.
Also people throw carrots at Charlie Adam but the authorities don't seem to care.

Best dude ever. He was the personification of the club so if you hate Bayern Munich you hated Kahn. He also delivered the best interview quote in german history: + Show Spoiler +

On the 8th day God gave the City over Orlando the power of Imminent Domain:
ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) - Negotiations between the City of Orlando and the Faith Deliverance Temple over the last piece of land needed to build a Major League Soccer stadium in downtown are not going well, according to Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer. A source at City Hall tells FOX 35 there was originally some hope a deal would get done, but the mayor does not see much chance at that deal now.
"My understanding of the proposal from the church is they're back at wanting $35 million."
Faith Deliverance Temple originally asked for $35 million in documents obtained by FOX 35 for a small piece of land on West Church Street that is valued at $690,000. Mayor Dyer says going back to that original number has broken down the negotiations.
"We are going to leave that door open, but we're going to have to go ahead and continue or pursue opportunities to have the court determine what the value of the property is."

makes sense to throw bananas at a goalie to be like "you are so bad it's like you're wearing bananapeel-gloves" !! or something

I wonder if Swansea want to change their manager.
i'd like to see Moyes on Swansea since he's good at improving teams like them.

i'm sure that regardless of how sound that move would be from a strictly managerial perspective it would be extremely unpopular at this point. people don't like being told that they are mid table squads with mid table budgets and prospects, no matter how true that fact may be. and hiring moyes would probably be taken as a testament to that given his performances thus far. that and the 'unattractive football' bit and all.
|
Moyes is a good manager for mid-table (Swansea is actually lower mid-table in this season) teams, i'd say he's the best for mid table teams in PL. If you give Swansea-like team to Moyes, he can make them top 7-8 team in the next five years. He can create a consistent team. And believe me, any mid-table/lower mid table team would love it.
What he created at Everton is beatiful. If Everton is playing for CL spot today, its thanks to Moyes. Being unsuccessful at Yanited doesnt make you a bad coach. Especially when you came there right after Alex Ferguson. I believe that English people are smart enough to understand it. im totally expecting Moyes to find a PL team in this summer.

About the bolded bit: Totally true! But it won't stop them from shutting up that they are a mid table size with a mid table budget and mid table prospects the one time in a decade they mildly overachieve!

There are rumours that Dani Alves told PSG's Brazilians that he is going to play with them next season. Also I read somewhere that Barcelona is going to unlock 120M euros for the next mercato.
|
Nice, he's terrible this season at Barca so I hope he leaves.
|
|
So Atletico Madrid entire roster cost less than Torres salary, and they beat Chelsea. If you go to the CL final do you get more $$$$ like the EPL top four?

I just hope barca gets some defenders this time, some good ones on top of that.
