Haha yep to both of those. Definitely enjoying united failing horribly, even though I don't actually have anything against them, but united supporters have just enjoyed far too much success..

United came 11th in Ferguson's first season.
3 years later: For the 1989–90 season, Ferguson further boosted his squad by paying large sums of money for midfielders Neil Webb, Mike Phelan and Paul Ince, as well as defender Gary Pallister and winger Danny Wallace. The season began well with a 4–1 win over defending champions Arsenal on the opening day, but United's league form quickly turned sour. In September, United suffered a humiliating 5–1 away defeat against fierce rivals Manchester City. Following this and an early season run of six defeats and two draws in eight games, a banner declaring "Three years of excuses and it's still crap ... ta-ra Fergie." was displayed at Old Trafford, and many journalists and supporters called for Ferguson to be sacked.[52][53] Ferguson later described December 1989 as "the darkest period [he had] ever suffered in the game", as United ended the decade just outside the relegation zone.

Give the man time.
Whilst saying this, however, i have to laugh when i see united fail. I have long had a hatred for united, and their fans (as a whole).

Man.U was just another average english club when Fergie took over though. They had like 5-6 titles with 2-3 of them(don't remember exact numbers) being pre-war, meaning ancient history.
So Fergie coached a club that had 4 championships in 40 years and made them the most successful english club next to liverpool. Results are expected from season 1 now, it's harsh but that's the way it goes.

Ferguson had already proven himself at Aberdeen as well. Winning the league in Scotland with a different team than Celtic or Rangers is pretty impressive.

Moyes definately needs to be given time, but If I was a Man Utd supporter Id definately be worried by now! Not only are the results very poor compared to last season, but the brand of footie they play is simply horrible.
I think they have too many average players, but they also have some top notch talent. A team with RvP, Rooney, Mata and Kagawa should be capable of more!

and bloated heads. Everytime I heard that glory glory chant I wanted to punch someone,+ Show Spoiler + ive never hit another human being in my life, no closed fist anyway.
the amount of trolling they are having to endure is priceless and no one seems to feel sorry about it at all..

I love seeing United fail, but I honestly feel bad for Moyes. I can't help but feel that most of United's problems aren't really his fault.
It's also kind of sad that this rejuvenated Arsenal will never get a chance to beat Fergie's United, for old time's sake.

Cleverly's position really needed to be filled, not Valencia's. I think when Fellaini comes back and hopefully play better than he did before, Utd will be different...

he won the CL equivalent too, no? the notion of a scottish team winning it sounds bizarre today, i wonder what it would have been like back then

It was the lesser european trophy, not the CL equivalent. Still mighty good for a club like aberdeen.

Yes, they are the team in the league that plays the most long balls, so Fellaini should be an improvement!

I think that's how most people feel. They are joyed that ManUtd is losing, but also feel pity for Moyes.

I don't think Moyes can really be blamed for their lacking success this year, the squad just looks really really weak, especially compared to city and chelsea. But United winning last year with pretty close to the same team makes Ferguson look really, really really good.

Giroud and Podolski must be absolutely sick of hearing commentators and pundits and fans talk about how Arsenal has failed to reinforce their attack. I understand there’s an injury caused whole in attacking midfield and there are definitely questions about why they have bought a player in on loan who isn’t fit to fill this hole. But I personally rate Giroud and Podolski (Bendtner not so much) very highly.

I kind of feel that MU needs new wing-backs. RB position this season is very weak either way and Evra gradually declines too. In the times when Newcastle has Debuchy & Santon and Everton rocks with Coleman & Baines, United wingers have to do that all alone way too often and they aren't exactly Cristiano Ronaldos to deal with it (although Januzaj shows some potential).
Also, everyone feels good about Devils' decline because they effectively destroyed Kagawa's career, had - or still have - failmakers like Anderson, Cleverley and Smalling plus they decided to keep Rooney despite his horrendously greedy demands.
