I think the lawsuit is against Rosell, not against Barcelona. So I don't think so.

Just to point out that being a surgeon is close to a risk-free career - you study to become one and you have a guaranteed high paying job for the rest of your professional career. There is a ton of risk in trying to be a football player and only a small percentage of those who try end up actually making it. Those who make it then have a relatively short career.

Sacrificing your academic and social life as well as your youth for a return of 60k per year is relatively dumb. Sacrificing it for the small chance to be a superstar and earn millions makes more sense and seems fairer. I think the payoff is right.

If you try to be a football player and fail you will know by the time you're what, 21? Still plenty of time to make another career of yourself
- I have a good friend who is a surgeon who decided to become one at 22.

Depends on the type of person. I don't think you can compare your friend to someone who has no working experience, no secondary education and only the very basic of high school education (sometimes not even with a diploma to show for it). Of the professional footballers in the team I support you would be surprised to know just how many are in that category.

They aren't a complete lost cause obviously, but someone who has done those things is going to have a head start.

Actually, my friend didn't have a sufficient high school diploma to enter medical school. When he was 22, he decided to re-enter high school to fix his grades and take math and a couple other classes that he required to enter medical school, and then he went to medical school in Prague because his grades still weren't good enough to be accepted to medical school in Norway. Now, 8 years later, he is a practicing surgeon in Tromsø. I can certainly accept that there are regional differences here, but any Norwegian high school dropout could do what he did - although depending on when you dropped out of high school you might have to spend one or two years longer.

Arsenal is the only team of the top 20 list, that has higher "match day" revenue than broadcasting or commercial. It is crazy how after so many years without a tittle, they still has a incredible average league attendance.

Never thought id agree with a Spurs fan! But yes you are right what a complete load of fucking bollocks.

Madrid rocking a massive £181million in commercial revenue which is about right
Barcelona checking out at £176million
Bayern with an outstanding £203million! Madness /gz Germanz
Man Utd limp in with a respectable £152million considering the players they have had

PSG just fuck it all up with £218million? WTF how is that even possible? They have 1 big marquee player in Zlatan the rest are just good players. How on earth is that even remotely possible >.<

Man City £143million Commercial.

Chelsea slow £89million Commercial >.< Mainly due to loss of Champions league

Few things, Chelsea average 99% stadium capacity through out that season the money league reefers too compared to the 20k below at City and 5k below at PSG. That being said we still are +£25million on PSG matchday revenue and £30million on City :S
Also our broadcasting fees are both higher than Man City and PSG >.< PSG get £77million and City get £88million. Chelsea still managed to get 105million without making champs league knock out rounds.

Yet all that Chelsea drop to 7th a record low for us due to the magical Commercial revenue being made up by the Abu Dabi owners ;_;

I don't think it's THAT ridiculous. PSG are the only top flight club in a city with over 10 million people. Imagine if the Premier League only had one London club.

Upon seeing Arsenal's pie chart I can't believe that they're actually raising ticket prices at the Emirates again next season :S Imagine where some of the other clubs in that list would be if they were charging 60 quid for their cheapest seats too.

Those prices are only for category A games (ie when they play Man United, Chelsea, Spurs, etc.). The prices for other fixtures are much more affordable.

Yeah I forgot about the categories. Regardless, Arsenal still charges more than any other club AND is raising prices for next season despite the 2 massive sponsorship boosts.

Hopefully he only plays well AGAINST Chelsea, not for them. I'm excited to finally see him come to the Premier League, though.

A bit sad that now I won't be able to buy him in FM
