From my pure opinion Harry's Spurs looked far far better and they deserved ECL football. I even felt slightly guilty after we had that shite season for us to steal the ECL spot. Not feeling anything but mirth at where AVB has left Spurs. And okay, he may not have bought any of the players (find it hard to believe he wasn't at least consulted?) but as Pandemona said, whoever made those decisions should really be kicked out for the good of your club. Here's the thing: Baldini may technically be the sporting director and handle the transfers, but nothing gets done without Levy's approval. Levy owns 30% of the club and the majority owner Joe Lewis doesn't involve himself at all. Lewis is incredibly wealthy, behind only Abramovich and Sheikh Mansour among Premier League owners, and spends his time on his yacht in the Bahamas. Levy has full autonomy and he's a brutal decision maker. Having just won the league cup, he sold the entire strikeforce (Berbatov, Keane, Defoe) and then sacked Juande Ramos after 10 games or something when the team struggled. Levy is both the best and worst thing to happen to Tottenham. On the one hand, he undid the damage caused by Lord Sugar and made the club competitive again. Finishing near Arsenal and Chelsea, who are in a different league financially, is a great achievement. At the same time, he's made moronic decisions (too many to list) and his penny pinching has cost Spurs dearly over the last couple of seasons. At least there's a new stadium en route along with the new world-class training facility. I should mention that I totally agree about Harry's team being great to watch. Seeing the horrible stuff offered up by AVB this season made me miss the beautiful Bale-Modric-Huddlestone-VdV artistry. The job was his for the next decade if he wanted it, but he himself was to blame for getting sacked. I just hope Tim Sherwood knows what he's doing tomorrow...two home losses to West Ham in one season would be too much to handle.

Well Chelsea just played Sunderland at the Stadium of Light a week ago, and won 4-3, with the winning goal being an own goal. So it's not a very shocking result. Bad news for FPL, as Pablo Zabaleta left in the 12th minute with a hamstring injury. Why the heck was he playing in the league cup against a Championship side anyway? : / Dante can't ball.

Really....you think that after that match? ![]() We knew this last season, thats the reason Di Matteo said you can take him to Real Madrid Jose. He is slow as fuck and will never be any use in the premier league because of that. He hasn't played well in any game this year and i think he has only played 6 times, also in that 6 times he has got himself 5 yellow cards. That just underlines how slow he is! Guy lost is when he did his knee the second time, Chelsea just have this fucked up stupid thing where they can't get rid of players when they should! Now we are stuck with him paying him good wages to do fuck all. On December 18 2013 07:20 sc4k wrote: thanks for kicking us out of that pointless competition Sunderland ![]() Yes a pointless competition, but we needed to win that. Get some confidence going again. We won that game 4-0 maybe 5-0. But alas the world class strikers at Chelsea football club fail to put the ball into the back of the net. First half we should of had 2 goals from Eto'o instead we get none. 2nd half again we should of had 1 goal from Eto'o and 3 from the midfielders, but again we got none. Then last 5minutes of the match Sunderland think yeah 1-0 lets go for it. They managed to carve out ONE CHANCE the whole game and scored it. Standard, stupid Chelsea not being able to kill off a game because their strikers are a bag of crap. To put it into perspective, if this was a boxing match and the referee could stop the game if he felt the opposition wouldn't be able to win or going to lose by a few goals. He would of stopped this match just like many other Chelsea games this season. But nope, it isn't and we have not converted any of the chances we should and have dropped STUPID points and lost STUPID games we should not of. Im starting to get pissed off defending the way we are playing and our manager. Only so many times you can defend the undefendable. So either Torres scores vs Arsenal or i suggest Abramovich sacks every striker we have and buys 2 in January, because they are fucking shite. /rant

I didn't watch bayern vs guangzhou but watched previous guangzhou game and what I saw was an OK team, pretty reasonable offensively, but with a terrible GK. Atletico Mineiro has a really good team and I cant see them losing to Raja so if thie expected result confirms the finals should be pretty good.

Bayern will beat that slow old Mineiro team 4+ if they try and play football vs eachother. Ronaldinho isn't exactly going to be able to do anything to the Bayern back 4 nor is Jo. Gilberto Silva on the other side is going to have a long night chasing after Gotze and co

![]() EDIT: Pandemona, please, don't make the mistake sideline arbiters do... + Show Spoiler + Ball in and out of play Balls A, B and C are still in play as they have not wholly crossed the touchline. Ball D has completely passed over the touchline, and is out of play.

Unless that is the reason xD then i guess still dat curl. Speaking of over the line. Chelsea became the first team in England yesterday to get given a goal from Goal Ref the goal line technology being used in England :D It was clearly over the line but it was real fast action and lots of bodies in the way. The ref looked down at his watch and signaled a goal whilst he then just pointed at it when Sunderland players complained xD

Sao Paulo last year were shite, Chelsea did what they are doing this year vs them, played well with the ball Torres missed like 2 open goals and in the 89th minute Sao Paulo decided to score game over. That was the best in Brazil and they had one decent player (imo) in Paulinho and he was bought pretty much after that by Spurs. Europe eat up the market for football talent thats why the club world cup is pointless due to not being anything worth playing against. Bayern will beat that slow old Mineiro team 4+ if they try and play football vs eachother. Ronaldinho isn't exactly going to be able to do anything to the Bayern back 4 nor is Jo. Gilberto Silva on the other side is going to have a long night chasing after Gotze and co Gilberto Silva is bench, and the best player from Atlético Mineiro is Diego Tardelli. From what I saw Bayern is taking the competition seriously, Ribery said some of the players trained even on a day off. Even that way I don't think 4+ is possible. Maybe 2 - 0. Brazilians vs Europeans teams do not happen much often, but the overall results are exactly 50/50 percent.

Anyway KDB really didn't show anything yesterday to deserve a spot in the Chelsea team. I keep hearing this guy is a big talent, but he is the same age as Oscar, Hazard and Schurrle. Indeed he was just completely MEH. I mean he had some nice touches, but he was doing idiotic things losing the ball in his own half to much. Being careless on the ball etc, clearly not a Chelsea player i guess another who should of been loaned out again maybe i don't know. I think we will cash in on him in January. Also fuck me cash in on one of our stupid Strikers and buy another. £60million bid for Suarez would totally be worth it. Maybe 70million i wouldn't care ;_; Ysellian did you see the goal line technology being used last night :D Was fun when that was used haha ![]()

The replays couldn't get enough of it, was shown like 3 or 4 times. I'm glad this is a thing now . Now an instant offside lazer thingie and for me that are all the issues. oh and perhaps something needs to be done about diving and hard tackling, but I think retrospective bans should cover that.

Either that or your eyes need to be preserved to benefit the human race because im sure no one else on the planet can make a clear judgement, but I would lean on the side of it not having rolled over just based on the when he kicked it and the approximate speed with which the ball was moving through frames and drawing an assumption of the line allowing for about half a frame maybe. Probably less. Mind you it got ruled out so someone agrees with you..

But indeed, was clearly a goal was just because ref couldn't see and Linesman never watch that sort of thing. Then replays were like omg it was used lets check if was right. Oh wait it was 4 yards over the line xD But yeah glad it was used and hope other leagues and UEFA add it to the champions league at least. Seems silly not to. I got this with just Pscreen' the gif lol. ![]() Even from that angle to me that whole ball is out and about to swing back in. No question good technique of what he did though. Some crazy angle.

Essien has even less. You can't just expect players that have barely been playing (if at all) to look as sharp as players with four months of match fitness under their belts.

Yes you can never get 100% fit, but Essien will never be fast again that has nothing to do with match fitness. Making silly decisions in terms of both of them also has nothing to do with being unfit. I surprised Mourinho kept DeBruyne on the pitch for the whole game but at 1-0 i guess he had no point not to keep him out there. Use him up instead of another player.
