And these 2 teams will probably not make it further than the Round of 16 in the Champions League, so they will be able to focus on the championship. Napoli, unlucky group, and Juventus really not as strong as last years. Beeing a Roma fan that is my concern aswell. But I live in the hope. Roma has never had a start like this before. And it is pretty sick. 8 matches, 8 wins and 22-1 in goals!

He can't come out and command his area, he never comes to claim a ball from a corner. He just sits on his line and stops a few shots. Other than that he gets beaten way easier than any other top 10 keeper in the world. I know the Valencia saves were pretty good, but he is clearly a standard keeper with shot stopping abilities, but to be a worlds best keeper you need to the rest of the attributes. Dominant in the box, able to use your strength to come and claim the ball in the air. Organize defense too, i know Barca hardly have a defense but surely the keeper should be screaming and shouting at them to actually defend >.< Like i said, if you don't agree you soon will when Barca sign a decent keeper for next year and if this keeper is a world class one like Courtois then Barca will be so safe in goal they will be able to stop conceding to set pieces for a start, or way less anyway. Also when Valdes leaves and goes to another team who have more than 5 shots at his goal a game he will be shown up more. If your going to say things like that, well then. Drogba beat Barcelona on his own in 2012. When Chelsea countered and fired a shot AT VALDES and he palmed it into the net from a weak shot. Awful goal keeping too, look at his position from where Ramires has the ball, he is in no mans land 0.O I dont even know why this is an argument, obviously the entire spanish league watching population and the ones in charge of picking the national team are morons and someone who has seen half a dzoen chelsea barca games and classicos gets to make claims like "doesnt" command his box and sits on his line. Not a single football journalist worth his salt covering la liga isnt raving about Valdez this year. The quality of shots he has to stop on average is sooo much higher than the random potshots other keeps have to manage day in day out is alarming. infact. As for commanding a defense. Lets be clear most keepers command of their defense amounts to calling for the ball and setting up a wall. Its the senior defenders job to marshal the defense not the keepers, ofcourse there are exceptions but this isnt the standard and a sub optimal way to manage a defense, so I dont get where that is coming from. Also I dont see a massive problem with that goal, it was a just about good enough finish and Valdez gave himself as good a chance as any to stop it..

Good decision, I hoped they would do so. Should probably withdraw the Munich bid for the 2020 final though. I don't know which other countries will compete; but I guess most other big european countries are more likely to go for the 2030 world cup, so I think our chances are really high.
