Two years ago, the was controversy when Nigel Clough kneed Billy Davies in the back of the leg (lol!) during a big melee between the players. This sort of thing is not uncommon for these games lol. Expect some fines for both teams next week for 'failing to control their players/staff'. Its that kind of game. Come and watch! 12.15 Sky sports 1, come watch, and boo Derby when the touch the ball, the filthy cheating scum. edit: this game is for the 'Brian Clough trophy'. He won the league with both of these teams, which contributes hugely to the massive rivalry...

People underestimate the quality of Championship football. Just look at how poorly Wigan are doing this year, and Bolton. It shows that some of the less well known teams are actually really good.

Indeed, pretty crazy to think that there are a bunch more Swansea's still trapped in the championship. edit: F-ing hell, some of these triangle passing are Barcelonesque.

So this means: 2026 WC in Africa, north or south america, as europe and asia are not eligible. Assuming no joint bids, I'd safely say it will be USA, argentina or mexico. USA heavy favorite for financial reasons. Imho almost a foregone conclusion. 2030 in europe unless a miracle happens. Spain (+ portugal) vs england (+rest of GB) vs belgium+netherlands. Maybe italy, other joint bids. England favorites, but not by a huge margin. (I heard the rumour that there was some kind of agreement between english and german fa that germany supports england for 1996 euro and england supports germany for 2006 WC. Germany did their part, but then england decided to still bid for 2006 anyway. Might not reflect well on england when trying to gather support in the future) 2034 will be australia (maybe +new zealand) vs japan vs korea vs argentina/mexico/USA (depending on who hosts 2026), depending on their football development also india and china might bid. Completely open. So who said predicting the future was difficult?
