Pens D is too bad and they don't have a goalie playing at that higher level (Vokoun seems solid but not THAT solid) to mask it. Bruins have the D, the goalie, and a decent offense to tear them a new one. I think the fact that the bruins haven't had a war in the second round helps their chances, but the Pens aren't going to lose four games by 2-1, and they are showing right now that a great goalie isn't enough to beat them. The Bruins have a chance if they can change the way the pens play, but if they can't do that then I think the series will look a lot like this sens one.
I think the Sens, even with spezza and karlsson (though theyre nowhere near 100%) are not close to the b's offensive firepower. ottawa is a pretty solid club, but the B's are much much better in every way. I think them steamrolling the rangers will also help a lot as far as preserving health and confidence.
still really dont get why the pens get fellated despite having trouble with two teams they are much better than.
also, while that deke is more of phillips being old and retarded, that backhand sauce.... good lord. Sid's done that a bunch too. I don't know anyone with a backhand that good.

wtf, Richards a scratch for game 4?
I understand the need to 'send a message' or whatever it is an egotistical 'this-is-mah-house' kind of dude like Tortorella likes to do, but is scratching a Conn Smythe trophy winner in an elimination game the way to do it? Is Richards playing well? No. Are the Rangers a better team without him in the lineup? I don't know if it can be argued that the are. Hopefully someone with a better view of the series can educate me on this. I have, admittedly, missed the last few games so my reaction may not be warranted at all.

Richards has played like sweaty asshole for the whole post season and most of the regular season, but Torts is a fucking moron here because there is no way whoever is going in over him is better. It's gonna be a fucking plugger like Newberry or someone like that, a player that has no business more than 8 min a night. Richards may be playing like shit, but he still has the skill that whatever AHLer were using could only dream of.
This is clearly the act of a dude whose starting to feel his seat get a tad warm

Plus, isn't Richards playing 4th line right now anyways? I guess if anything it might have some unmeasurable effect on the team which will be evaluated after-the-fact to some kind of pointless degree. It's win-win for Tortorella though. If they win, he looks like a genius with "the balls to whatever the fuck" and if they lose, well, they were losing anyways.
Might spell the end of Richards in NY though, given the history of how long players stick around after Tortorella sours on them. And it'll be ugly given his contract - shitty trade, buy-out, something that doesn't net any real value.

Yeah he's been on the fourth. Brassard and Stepan have been solid, they deserve the top 6 minutes. But there isn't any fucking way that you are gonna convince me that Brian Boyle should get third minutes over Richards. Boyle's a black hole offensively, and considering that the rangers offense has been about as impotent as you or i'd be after trying to get laid after drinking all day, you'd think they'd try to roll three offensive lines.
Torts really has his head up his ass lately. The B's fourth, probably one of the best in the business the last couple years, has been fucking working the Rangers this series. He was quoted the other day saying something to the effect of the last goal happening because he was running three lines and his guys were tired. GUESS WHO THE FUCK GOT TWO SHIFTS OVER THE LAST TWO PERIODS WHILE EVERYONE WAS GASSED
at any rate, this solidifies that Richards is a buyout in my mind. No one's gonna want that contract after this year. Stepan's definitely the 1C after this year, and Brassard played his way into the top 6, and is probably good enough to hold it.

Torts is probably gone from the Rangers after this season. The complete disorganization of the offense and the 5% post-season power play suggest that there are serious coaching problems. This isn't to say that Torts is necessarily doing a bad job. It could be that the players have simply quit on him. Regardless, a change is needed.

If the Rangers get swept, Torts is fired. But its not his fault Slather got him 'top talent' like Richards and Nash for a million years at a billion dollars. It will be hilarious if he gets fired and moved to Vancouver...where he plays the Twins on the 3rd line as shut down grinders.
Anyway big day today, I expect Chicago to come out swinging and unless Howard is in Jesus mode they will even the series. Probably in some kind of brutally lopsided fashion. Or, once Quinnevile lost his shit on Crawford his mental state is shattered and he and Shaw and Bickel are one unlucky call away from blowing their shit. But chances are its first. Probably Toews will score a goal and all of Canada's media will celebrate Captain 'intangibles' for the 2 days that Crosby isnt on the ice.

I'm going to get a hernia rooting for the Wings tonight.

Its going to be a sweet game. Hawks are going to come out angry and energized. If the Wings can match the intensity and urgency then they should have a good shot at winning. Or they will just get overwhelmed and lose big.

Rangers-Bruins is too painful to watch. Time for Wings-Hawks.

Toews is going to shoot someone.

NYR were looking SO outmatched in that overtime, but I just knew that they'd score on some random rush anyways.

Is RIchards going to be back for game 5?

Kings are noticeably motivated right now. Sharks have to weather this first period.

Would you qualify Howard tonight as Jesus mode? Or Toews as really, really, really bad tonight?
