i never use a belt but for smolov i did everything but warm ups with a belt to try to prevent as much back frying as possible. worked pretty well

Yeah me too but I had a herniated disc about a year ago so my back gets irritated easily still

Hit two PRs last night!
Snatch - 95.6 kg, barely missed 100 kg twice. I'm definitely getting enough height on the bar, but lacking in getting-under speed. Will be working on that this week and going for it again soon.
C&J - 120 kg. I feel like I'm good for more on the clean, but hesitant to actually go for it when my jerk technique is still so raw. Will maybe spend some time working light jerks and heavier pressing stuff this week.

What up world. Time to get back into hardcore training.

Age 26
Sex M
Wt. 155 lbs (at 5'8)

Stats:
Sq 3x5x160
Bench 3x5x120
OHP 3x5x75
DL 1x5x240
BB Row? Not sure
PC: Not sure/never done
Chins 2x8xbw
Dips? not sure

Lap Swimming (trying to do 2-3 days per week): I haven't set a defined goal for this yet as I have just started doing this and don't really know what a great goal persay would be. Suffice to say, right now I'm swimming about 300m and dying shortly thereafter.

Side note: These are all well under what I can currently do. I'm starting light with the hopes that I will progress to where I once was and beyond. As you can all tell, there is room for me to add muscle and bulk up. The highest I've squatted/benched/DL'd for 5 reps is 240/165/320 respectively so it's a matter of me working my way back up to it (and going past this).

today was a lot easier than the last one, 2 days of rest did great!

bench: 65kg
rows: 65kg
i would define my style between a mix of ByuN, Maru and MKP

Gonna go insano at the gym today

4th day at the gym:

120kg on the squat (3x5)
120kg on the deadlift (1x5)
Dips (BW+5kg) 10-10-10
Press: 60kg 3x5

I'm committed to not leaving the gym until I do all of this. Go me!

Don't be ashamed of that! Plus your so close to doing them with the 45lb plate and looking like a total BA :D

I know right. But the heaviest plate in our gym is 55lbs so maximum badassness will take a bit longer.

i don't like deadlifts. i don't like not progressing on pullups. i like squats.

Gotta learn to love the deadlift and the two (deads and squats) are related. They're both in the "look like a BADASS family" and they give you the "I got strong legs", "fuck gluten" and "why are people eating 6 times a day?" look.

I recently started doing them, was so happy to find out that my normal grip can still lift 120kg without slipping the bar, no cloth no chalk no nothing, barehanded. It felt awesome!.

Are those lbs or kg?

I love deadlifts even more than squats. Can't wait to deadlift 2x my BW(127.5kg). When I hit 100kg for my 5RM I was so happy haha.

i'm still pretty skinny. i started properly doing barbell squats and deadlifts about 3 weeks ago, since i got a gym membership. before, i was doing some simple bodyweight and dumbbell exercises (basically pistols, rows, bench, dips, pullups, ohp) at my apartment's gym. the pistols are the probably the reason why my squat is higher than my deadlift right now.

and yeah, i gotta learn to love them right now, i'm just doing them cuz i want to get strong. the thing is, i've found that i like doing things that i'm good at. i'm sure once my deadlift improves, i'll start liking them :D
