I'm really not understanding this whole concept of 'rest'. off to boston tonight for some partying then to upstate new york so phyre can watch me play some rugby ^_^
how reasonable is it to eat off wood instead of your tummy?

Been doing IF to get down below 10% bf. Been working good so far but I fast from 3pm - 8am the next morning. That 6am workout is fuarking hard

I think some people that do fasted workouts like to take BCAAs before workouts on empty stomachs to help get them through.
how reasonable is it to eat off wood instead of your tummy?

Caffeine pill+BCAA drink w/ electrolytes seem to make my training better than I ever did when fed. Unfortunately, my work schedule is awful for fasting, and on top of that I work in a kitchen where our "rule" is eat whatever whenever.

I normally fast 8pm to 1pm. It's kinda half intentional.

Yeah I take BCAA's before and during my workouts. It isn't so much a energy problem as much as "I'm hungry as fuark" problem

Skipped thursdays workout 'cus I'm a pussy and didn't want to train during our little heatwave.

Today:
Squat: 5x5 77,5 kg
overhead press 5x5 40 kg
deadlift: 100kg (jaaaay!)

still floating around 69kg bw, having a hard time eating above mainenance.

i lost weight (probably belly fat) and went from 165 to 160. huh.

Did ~8 weeks of smolov before calling it quits, got to 155kg squat for a single (ATG) at ~85kg with about 7 months of lifting under my belt. Going for double bodyweight squat by end of summer

Anyone have any practical stretches for increasing flexibility for front squats? My back rounds something fierce and my rack position has much to be desired

Thanks, I've seen that video and I'm trying to figure out how to do it without a training partner. I'm thinking something with pulling blocks or a somewhat awkward position in a power rack...

for that second stretch, you can probably do it by yourself if you put the bar in a front squat position, then go up to a squat rack where there's another bar sitting on the rack, and put your elbows on top of the other bar (while holding the first bar in the front squat position). then lower your bodyweight until you feel the stretch.

Friend of mine is starting smolov jr for front squats, but I think I'm going to shy away from that and work on oly technique for the next few months.
