Nothing sad about that. After that atrocious display of anti-football last season I think everyone (except Chelsea fans lol) are glad that they are out.

No offense though :p. At least they're playing more attractive now with a bunch of actual technical football players on the pitch.

when is the drawing actually to be hold?

a friend told me it's on the 15th, in german tv they said its on the 20th, this thread says it's on the 12th

haha, nevermind, i was confused a bit, too :D

on topic: as a bayern fan i'm really hoping for getting real madrid next round. with knocking out a serious rival for the title that early, the will to win the whole thing gets so much stronger. if it even can get any stronger after that last seasons final.

i'm very pleased with this season so far. there were great games, nice surprises and the most important thing, offensive football dominated! i'm very excited for the knock-out stages, there aren't any weak teams anymore and there's also not the ONE big favourite.. i think it has been often mentioned already but i would like to see dortmund lifting the thing. it would be a win for football! i love this team. ^.^

I agree the date way here is stupid.

The amount of forms and checks I had to refill or rewrite when I got here is absurd. Sorry trees.

On another note, its a bit sad that Chelsea is actually out this season but the naive way they play in Europe (RDM or no RDM) was never going to get them very far.

I dont see any reason to read into ridiculous statistics like Chelsea first ever winner to not qualify for second round. They had a couple of good teams to battle against.

And similarly for City sure they got 4th in their group and all but some of the games they didnt play all that badly and were a got jipped a few times. That doesnt mean they would have qualified but again tough Group, really tough group. Best part is there is a good chance the teams that did qualify from the group may not even go very far.

Thats just CL football it happens.
