I think it's mostly just jokes about how barcelona and real have been dropping so few games the last couple seasons that 5 points is all they need.

5 point lead after 2 games means next to nothing. Still a long season ahead of us. Let's not get carried away.

The penalty came from a dive from Fabregas so it would have been unfair if it had been scored. And like I said, I accept that Chelsea get favourable calls and it pisses me off whenever we do. I reserve the right to criticise any team for shitty performances and criticise any ref for retarded calls because I don't act like they don't happen to us. It would all be solved if they just allowed (video replay) challenges like in NFL, cricket or tennis.

Ok then, I guess I'll do it to
Its really lame that Chelsea gets all these start calls all the fucking time. Practically brought Torres back into form with that bad call. Who knows how long he wouldve struggled if he didnt get the confidence from that shit shit offside goal. Now even poor Newcastle had to suffer because an illegal goal put a struggling striker in form. And Reading to, they were totally taking the game to Chelsea but then that terrible offside destroyed their spirit. Such a shame.
Also Barca didnt deserve to win today they were so garbage. Busquets looked like a 1 legged hoofless donkey. Puyol needs leg braces and referees get paid to make them win. Now the title race is already fucking over. Such BS. Spain is just so bad. How did they manage to get that ranking in the Euro coefficients. All the teams there just suck and with Barca struggling against teams like that they got no chance in europe. And dont even get me started on Madrid, United, City and PSG.
VIDEO REPLAYS FUCK YEAH !
+ Show Spoiler +that was surprisingly fun, I see why people do it.

Well that was cathartic, ps gratz on climbing the ranks this week in fantasy, my team is all over the shop.

thanks,I think i said this before but to me the first few weeks is more of a lottery, To my mind there are literally 0 ways to accurately be able to establish how players are going to get you points without having atleast a month of football to look at.

On other news, I can't believe PSG getting another draw...and goalless to top it all. But then again, the Man City project took a few seasons to get going...perhaps PSG are going the way of them rather than of Chelsea.

Reading got tired. They're not as fit as Chelsea and it showed in the last 20 minutes of the game. Yes that call was horrible on Torres' goal, but its not like he doesn't know he was offside. This isn't FIFA12 where a game with a few goals ups your players form - his team is playing great and he's feeding off the energy. That is normal. With Hazard in there playing like he is even an off-form striker is going to get enough chances to convert a few.

what offside goal brought torres in form?

Name one of Chelseas penalties which was favourable? They were all blatant. We also don't get some, like torres getting shoulder charged in the box.
The torres one, the guy pulls his leg back, is swinging it at torres' legs. Regardless of him pulling out, he pulled out far too late, any sane person would be jumping the hell out the way long before he decided to pull out. Its like flinching. If you saw that coming at you, you'd try and dodge. Thats why it was a pen, you can't look like you are going to kick the shit out of someone and then at the end be like 'lolz I wasn't really going to do it'.
And the offside: one call now all of a sudden chelsea can only win with favourable goals. If we never got that offside goal, who says we wouldn't still have gone on to win that game? what if. One goal doesn't make torres confident. He's scored before and it didn't help a jot. one offside goal won't change anything.

(ie. Tevez on MC because aguero is out, VanPersie on old arsenal, etc) 6) spend low on defenders, spend very high on midfielders, mid-high on forwards. cheap defenders on good defending teams can get you 6points off cleansheets and thats more than good enough (last year newcastle + this year's swansea/everton). great midfielders are key as they give you 5points for goals and rack alot of assists. get the midfielders who score a decent amount and get the ball alot. for forwards just get 1 elite scorer if you can (9points and above) and whatever else you can afford. 4points per goal is just not that much and forwards don't get too much assists. the elite scorer should get you a lot of goals to make up for the lack of points per goals. this has worked pretty well for me and have been generally successful, especially with trading. last year I finished first and I believe my total team value was something like 102 because I got alot of points off trades (decreases overall team value the more you trade) and 2nd place had something like a value of 106. im not really experienced with fantasy but this basic trading strategy has worked for me so far so just wanted to share what i know!
Thats all pretty standard but going into a season thats still no gaurantee. That method can mean anything between 30 and 90 points on any day in the first few weeks. Theres no substitute for being able to see them play. Thats why I said early on is a lottery, not later.

God damn it, Wnger. Don't let M'Vila go to Spurs when you're playing Diaby from start. Splash the cash.

he thinks the offside goal against reading suddenly made torres confidence go from 40% to 110%

Hmm, seems a bit cheap, isn't he tipped to be the next Viera?
Another thing to note, Spurs have signed a long-term partnership deal with Madrid, along with the Modric deal.

Don't talk about things you donn't know. I can't even understand how a football game can overhype a player. I watch him play every weeks and 1 thing i can tell you: he's not worth 20M. This player just has a solid long range pass, nothing special beside this, his technical abilities are not even good. I can tell you for exemple Verratti is like 100 times better.
Everywhere on the internet i see M'Vila quoted as: "fuck X, why don't you take M'vila he is so good he wants to leave!!" This is just mindblowing. 2 players i can tell you to follow: Etienne Capoue, the Toulouse midfielder, like way more technical than M'vila, very solid and verry physical. He's like a Diaby without the injuries.
Rio Mavuba, Lille Defensive midfielder, same profile as M'vila except he is better, more technical and less overhyped so less expensive.

Same here, i dont really understand the hype around Mvila. He played 2 good games with France during the Euro qualifiers, at that time he was something like the iconic figure of Blanc's new french team (young, playing in ligue 1, kinda cool guy) after WC 2010 But he never really impressed in Ligue 1 and barely played 5 games in EL. Btw there's been less hype around him for about a year in France, people seem to realize he his just average. Whatever, 13m€ is a good deal for Rennes, imo
