Liverpool and United the most successful, but in terms of financial "safety" and competitiveness, the Premier league has 5/6 quite easily @Ysellian Plus add in the fact Everton normally give the big boys a game, maybe not this season but they might be better if they keep their players under Martinez. Yeah, true. Many of the title finishes actually come down to how well they performed against Everton funnily enough. Most season, it is just two teams (United+someone else), but I think the point is that it's not just the same two teams EVERY SINGLE SEASON. In just the Premier League era alone, there have been title challenges from smaller teams like Blackburn (who even won it, one year) and Newcastle. Liverpool were up there every year until recently. Arsenal won three in seven years. Chelsea won three in seven years (including two in a row). Manchester City finally broke through to win in 2011. Next season is looking nigh unpredictable. Edit: LOL @ that Cavani transfer. They better not be offering Torres as part of the deal if they are paying that much money.

![]() Was looking at an article the other day with a headline something like 'Barca has spent 300m finding a partner for Messi' (thats after they bought Neymar) and I was thinking about how important of a player Eto was and how stupid the decision was to swap him plus 30m for Zlatan. Is it just me or do you guys think that players that come into Barca (particularly strikers) that weren't homegrown have a hard time adapting to the extreme tiki-taka and because of that their general value goes down? What player has left Barcelona better than when he came in? EDIT: Not saying in the history of Barcelona, just the Ronaldinho period and after EDIT2: Or maybe Barcelona just don't sell the players that haven't failed until they get the most out of them

The day they start doing the things right, they will have the right to complain about tv rights (that I find 'fair' in a strictly economic point of view)...

Was a fucking REAL achievement when Chelsea beat them in the Champions League all those years ago Santiago Cañizares. What a boss that man was. Was so sad when he cried after the shoot-out against Bayern. Shame he was always the second choice. First behind Zubi, and then behind Casillas.

If you want to be the best team you don't sell those ![]() The only ones I can remember are Ronaldo (really bad move by a terrible president) and Yaya Touré (Busquets took his spot in the starting eleven). The Etoo for Ibra swap was the most retarded move indeed. PD: Cañizares was a beast and a huge douche too ![]()
