IMO The Cavani deal will include Torres going in the opposite direction to join up with Napoli and Rafa. Rafa has already been "reported" to be in the market for replacements for Cavani, and with Torres and Gomez possibly coming in i think that would be good business for them to lose 1 world class strikers and get 2 "good" strikers in his place.

I am loving the ambition shown by the board and chairman. I hope they follow through with their big talk.

Fellaini to Arsenal would be huge, woldnt it?
Also why would Arsenal want Skrtel lol, he is horrible at heading.
|
Would love to see fellaini in United. Think he would be a really god addition.

Im tired of Spanish League. There is so much potential. Big football base teams like Ahtletico, Sevilla, etc. Lot of fans in the country, good tactic and technical level , etc. But every year it pass the difference with Barsa and Madrid is bigger. The stupid tv rights distribution, the expensive stadium tickets. The spanish federation is fucking a league that could have competed with the Premier only because they are friends of Barsa and Madrid. 10 years ago it was son awesome with Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Deportivo, etc. fighting. Now Barcelona buy Neymar and Madrid will waste lot of money. Meanwhile important players in other teams go away (Falcao, Navas, Llorente, Aspas, Beñat, Isco etc.). Winning the league with 100 points two years in a row is retarded.
Fuck it, what a stupid country.

Yeh your 100% right haitike. They dominate the Spanish league because they get the most money from TV, the Spanish FA etcetc. It's such a shame. Your country as a whole financially doesn't help the situation though i dont think does it? Most of the clubs in Spain are struggling financially due to not as many people buying tickets etc?

Spanish league was really entertaining back then. Like Real Sociedad with a great team making a serious challenge for the title is something you simply cannot imagine anymore.

The Valencia team was my favorite back then too! Villa Morientes Jaquain the crazy white haired goalkeeper lmao. So much fun. Was a fucking REAL achievement when Chelsea beat them in the Champions League all those years ago

How does the premier league have "2 big". In terms of trophies may be. Liverpool and United the most successful, but in terms of financial "safety" and competitiveness, the Premier league has 5/6 quite easily
@Ysellian Plus add in the fact Everton normally give the big boys a game, maybe not this season but they might be better if they keep their players under Martinez.

Next season the PL will have 4 contenders IMO, at least if Arsenal are going to spend as I think they are going to do. Tottenham and Liverpool can make it difficult for the other sides.

Chelsea is my guess :D

Well it's not entirely true about the rest of the spanish tems not making a splash. Like do you remember that awesome villareal team that made it to the semis in their first CL run, riquelme deserved a ballon that year. Also atletico these past 3 years have being bossing around.
When was the last time when a middle class english team made something in europe? Like I don't even remember, leeds? 12 years ago? lol The same goes for germany too.

Yes but there has (or was) always 4 teams getting the like the Quarter Finals in the champions league for England. Liverpool Man Utd Arsenal Chelsea made the last 8/16 quite often during our good times.
Villareal achievement was good of course, but they were the team that were placed into the champions league for a reason xD But just like every other club that has a bit of success in Spain, they soon crash and burn financially and have to sell all their players. Which is a big shame of course which is what haitike is saying. Atletico will be without Falcao and possibly others next season. Thats like 30-35 goals a season disappearing.

Then there are Arsenal and Spurs, teams who can possibly challenge for the title if they make some good buys.

Ok so in 12 years a medium level team managed to lose a europa final against *gasp* the same guys that you criticize. lol
Yes, pandy atletico will probably be half as good next year but another team will appear in their place. Something that doesn't happen in england, it's always the same old underachieving horses.
There are not 4 contenders in england, when was the last time when the top 4 teams where in a radius of 7 points top to bottom? It happened in the dutch league this year iirc. But in england it's just liverpool and arsenal hogging these last 2 CL spots from teams that could use some CL experience. Year after year. That's not contending for the title.
