I'm hearing RVP cost £24M, but that's just rumors. Supposedly Madrid bought Modric for a similar amount.

I think there is still £20-25M in the summer spending chest, Dembele could be bought for that or less no? I dunno what Witsel would cost but hopefully Madrid have filled their CM needs now and are off him. M'Villa is also out there...

Well, shit. Obviously a big loss for Arsenal (again), but if he didn't want to stay there's zero point keeping him around.

I just find it shitty he finally has one really solid season and now he's too big for the club? :p plus I don't think he's even worth the price-tag, 29 and fairly injury prone for £22mil or so? I dunno. Let's see if it was worth it, he now has a shitload of people who hate him so for his sake hopefully so.

The Rooney-Van Persie prospect sounds exciting though I guess.

Also not a fan of the RVP signing, offense is really not where united struggle, rooney/hernandez/welbeck is not bad at all for a set of forwards, and with kagawa coming into the team in attacking midfield, it just looks like hernandez or welbeck or both are not gonna have a fun season depending on whether ferguson wants 2 up front or just one. But then, if he uses 1, which would likely be VP as a point to the attack, do you have rooney sit behind him and bench kagawa? Just doesn't make much sense to me

Kagawa can play left attacking mid. And I think RVP has played LW at Feyenoord.

An attacking 4 of Kagawa/Nani/Rooney/VP would be very fluid. However SAF does love the 442 and using traditional wingers, so we might see Rooney and RVP up top, Valencia and Nani/Young on the wings, and Carrick and Kagawa as CMs (not what I'd want but I think SAF will try this).

Stop the massive exagerations, I am not a fan of this transfer but worst transfer ever? He bought a world class player and you haven't even seen him play for united I'm sure ferguson has a solid reason for buying him.
