But Zidane was also a leader and he practically took France to the 2006 WC final by himself before headkicking Materazzi. So I would put, for now, Zidane above Iniesta, but not by a lot, and Iniesta is just 28 and already has won more trophies than Zidane in his entire career. | ||

Especially if you consider the titles might not of been won if you take Messi out of Barcelona. Anyway, both players played in very strong teams (France at this time and Real vs Spain of now and Barcelona), so comparing their teamplayers isn't going to help us in this discussion x) Both players won every major trophies and were key in these successes, it's really difficult to compare them... But like I said, Iniesta is 28, so I believe he will end up better than Zidane, since midfielders usually get better with experience (see Pirlo or Xavi) and he is already on par if not better than him at football. I just feel Iniesta cannot become a leader due to his personality, so he will never achieve the kind of 'fame' Zidane could achieve. | ||
