I'll say it again, if QPR sign Malouda, they will go down. Also, WTF why is Merterseker the debt collector? Surely it should be Vermalen the captain? :S

Transfer News! Reports coming out of Italy say Roma are back in talks with Olympiakos over a deal to sign Vasilis Torosidis after failing to reach an agreement last summer. Greece international defender Torosidis, who is not planning to extend his Olympiakos contract which expires at the end of the season, has also been linked with Fulham and Werder Bremen. As Barcelona prepare to step up the search for a new goalkeeper and a number of players get linked with a move, Andres Iniesta has stated that it will be difficult for anyone to replace ‘the best in the world’ Victor Valdes. Atletico Madrid star Radamel Falcao has denied that he met with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez about a move across the Spanish capital Hoffenheim have moved to boost their hopes of staying in the Bundesliga by signing David Abraham from Getafe on a contract until 2016. Hoffenheim coach Marco Kurz said of the Argentine defender: "David has a lot of experience at the top level for his age and that is very important for us at the moment." Racing Avellaneda midfielder Adriano Centurion has previously been linked with a move to the Premier League, but he now looks to be on his way to Russia. According to reports in Ole, Anzhi Makhachkala are ready to spend €7.5million (£6.3m) to sign the Argentina Under 20 international. Newcastle remain 9/4 favourites to land Aston Villa's out-of-favour striker Darren Bent in the transfer window. Having been quoted in a French interview as saying he has ‘wasted his time’, West Ham midfielder Alou Diarra is now set to hold talks over his future with manager Sam Allardyce. A little line from Greece and former Liverpool forward Sebastian Leto has left Panathinaikos by mutual consent after a long battle with injury. Leto has not played for 12 months due to a knee injury and Panathinaikos' new owners are reported to have wanted the Argentine's salary off the wage bill. Melbourne Victory are confident they can convince Marco Rojas to stay despite interest from Juventus and Liverpool. Serie A's bottom club Siena have been keen to improve their attacking options this month and L'Equipe reports that Lorient striker Innocent Emeghara could join on loan for the rest of the season. Reports last week claimed that Porto defender Rolando had rejected a loan move to Queens Park Rangers. Rolando remains a man in demand as A Bola says Deportivo La Coruna want to sign the centre-half on loan for the rest of the season. Reports in Holland say PSV Eindhoven will try again to sign Chelsea defender Jeffrey Bruma in the summer after their hopes of a January loan deal were dashed. Bruma has struggled for first-team football on loan at Hamburg this season, and Chelsea were rumoured to be considering recalling the defender. However, an injury to former Blues defender Michael Mancienne means Hamburg want to keep Bruma for the rest of the season. Looks like Kaka's return to AC Milan is off after Adriano Galliani confirmed the club were unable to agree a deal with Real Madrid. Reports in Italy claim Milan wanted to sign Kaka on loan for the next two-and-a-half seasons, but Real only wanted a permanent deal.

I don't think it is sustainable to sell your star players, not finding replacements for them, and to also overpay the rest of the players. They use their huge cash reserve as a safety-net, I guess, but I think it won't help much if they have a truly disastrous season.
