squat 80kg 5-5-5 bench 75kg 8-7-7-6 dead 105kg 1x5 my back feels a bit more flexible, ie i can arch it better/pull it together tighter than before. bench was so easy, i was throwing it around (restrained myself rep-wise), probably finally caught up to where i was before 40 day depression "holiday". only took 35 fucking days. deadlift felt good since i was aware of my back. but i cant quite get low enough in the starting position yet. i was fucked from squatting/warmup squatting so didnt do much more

Was supposed to start physical therapy, but it was postponed because of my lowered neutrophil count. Doctor basically said it was foregone I would atrophy a ton until I resumed activity. I'm going for 2 mile walks every day, but that does a limited amount. Can somebody explain putting off physical therapy due to lowered neutrophil count? I assume it is because a body wouldn't be able to heal itself from the stress of physical therapy and keep diseases fought off at the same time? Edit: Had an epiphany while getting ready to squat today (AKA the best kind). I realized one of the reasons I love weightlifting, and probably this community so much, is because I finally have a place I feel I belong. Sure, I have a lot of friends, I do a lot of things, but when I am in the weight room, I just feel home. Nothing else has ever come close to that. On a side note. Does anybody live in San Antonio, Texas? I am visiting there for a week (leaving in an hour) and was looking for stuff to do/good places to eat. Mostly good places to eat. So if anybody could help me out, let me know :D

And the best epiphanies occur while taking a dump, not while working out.

I probably ought to shift to weights if I want to gain faster, but I'm paranoid about that level of physical stress possibly causing trouble with my crohn's. So I stick to body weight and TKD. But I'm already working on one arm chin-ups and pistols, and do my pushups pretty close handed. So yeah, increasing resistance is getting tricky. I probably need to get my pistols deeper, but a lot of that is just flexibility. Not sure how it is with you but one of my best friends brother has Crohn's and he managed to become a pretty decent powerlifter throughout college. I have no personal experience but know that it's possible!

What's the "formula" behind these birthday squats? I'm 23, I have to do 23 reps @ 160kg? that'd probably kill me ![]()

I'm a Midwesterner turned East-coaster but my brother randomly went to college in Houston and when I was down there a while ago for his graduation we went to Chuy's. "The Elvis Presley Combo" I believe it is called had like 5 different plates of food. Not recommended if you need to move anytime in the upcoming week.

On a more positive note, hit 225x3 bench ezpz and back is feeling pretty good considering how much pain I was in last night. Been front squatting every day this week. Worked up from 5x5x135 to 5x5x160 today and still feeling quite easy.

@Vitruvian, yeah I'm definitely very happy I got into the facility. It's the Calgary Olympic Oval's weight room which happens to be attached to the university I attend. @Osmoses, you won't believe how invincible I felt... the next week. Everything my coach threw at me I said "yes boss" without bitching. @funkie, umm the "foruma" was supposed to be 70% of my all time best 1RM. Turns out using an old 1RM that I never hit again was a bit much =3

Smolov Week 3, day 4 Squat: Mother fucking 162.5kgx3x10 First set was easy, after all were fucking hard. At some point between 5-10 set I was so fucking high on endorphines/pain that I just talked alone or laughed randomly between sets, I just looked like a fucking lunatic. I also screamed full breath on the last squat of the last set, just because I fucking can. I blame it on reading lots of chaos and pain blog lately lol. Fucking douches wearing hats, gloves and doing fucking cable cross overs

I was a fan of that when I could eat that much tex mex without pissing off the crohn's. Nowdays I mostly just get the fajitas, but the Elvis Fried Chicken is pretty damn awesome, as is... the entire menu?

Squat 1x5 75, 95, 110, 1x3 130, 150kg - I was hoping for atleast 4 reps, but I shouldn't push it I suppose. BP 1x5 45, 55, 65, 75, 3-3-3F 90kg - couldn't get past 3 reps so I added some sets for volume. Chin ups 1x3 bw+35, 2x3 bw+30kg Shrugs 3x3 135kg - fairly satisfied with that. Did all 3 sets with regular grip, and made held the bar for a few second at the end of each sets. My Deadlifts have been feeling a lot better recently, so I think this is really helping.
