FS - 275lbs 295 315 335 345 then 3x245 255 265 275 285 295 then 3x5 @ 195

Got two sets of hang snatch doubles at 90kg then on my third i accidently stood up with the weight instead of going from the squat at the bottom directly to the hang so i tried to drop the 90kg from overhead to waist while standing and strained my forearm like an idiot ~~

Looks like a lot of squatting for this week, strain doesnt feel too bad hopefully be pulling again by the end of the week.
how reasonable is it to eat off wood instead of your tummy?

Really frustrated. Hip has been bothering me off an on for a few weeks. Saw the chiro and been meaning to follow up. Jarred it playing ultimate tonight in my first league game and by entire right hip/lower back is tight and in pain This is going to interfere with my lifting grr

Does anybody have a really good squat video that they wouldn't mind me using?

I'm gonna show people what a proper squat is and I don't have a video of my own. The more weight/deeper ya go, the better thanks yall!

It's times like these where I really need to take a breather and go do some squats... Oh wait I can't for a few weeks Need to find a frustration release for viewing the shitty posting in some areas of TL >.<

Edit: decaf my squats look just like that when I do them! Oh well... that's ermm... that's a lot of weight there pal... T_T SOME DAY I'll GROW BIG AND STRONG LIKE THE CHICKENMAN

Actually yeah it's a cheap place and they'd probably make a huge fuss. But I'll be going to Texas in a few weeks anyway so I'm gonna see if I can find a proper gym while I'm there.

low bar or high bar? makes a world of difference.

tbh if you want videos of high-bar squats I would check out the calstr or brozknows youtube channels.

i wouldn't really use brozknows as 1:1 example, they're mostly 1RMs with crazy bounce, beginners should resist the bar.

KOVU: I've always loved that squat video. It's insane how immaculate the Chinese lifters have their form down. I prefer them to other countries' lifters a lot for that reason. They don't only lift the weight... they make it look fucking beautiful.

@Everyone, question: if I'm trying to put on some LBM, is it generally a bad idea to do sprints a couple times a week? I currently do a typical compound lifts program and eat 3800~ calories a day, but I wanted to see if I could do some sprinting to keep my speed up for the other sports I do.

That's not a problem I think as long as you don't do it too intense on days before LB workouts. It can also help to keep your bodyfat down as well. If you're not gaining fast enough just eat more.

PowerClean, Clean and Jerk, and do some sprint intervals (as adviced by decaf).

Thanks for the advice guys. I already do power cleans so I'll incorporate some sprints a couple of times a week. Right now I squat 3x/week so it'll be tricky to time when I can sprint, but I guess on Sunday (since I work out Tue/Thur/Sat) and one other sorta light day would be good.

My advice: if you squat 3 times a week, make sure you rest on your rest days and do your sprints on your workout days. at least I found it pretty hard to have decent workouts when you do cardio/HIIT on your "rest" days. it's worth noting though that I was on a cut and didnt eat 3.8k calories on my workout days so that probably affected recovery as well
just stick to a plan and see how it goes. you can always re-evaluate after a few weeks.
