Hey its me again :D I had a incredible deadlift session today. Did break my PR(Personal Record) 2 times, so I am really happy for this and had to write down everything
5x 130kg 1x 140kg 1x 150kg 5x 170kg 1x 180kg 1x 190kg 1x 200kg 1x 220kg (My old PR) 1x 230kg (New) 1x 240kg (Newest!)

@ extreme
Nice job, standard scandinavian :p
Today:
BP: 95kgx3x2, 110kgx3x3, 112kgx2x2 Squat: 125kgx3x2, 145kgx3x5 BP: 90kgx4x2, 100kgx4x4 Dumbell shoulder raises: 7.5kg x10x5 Abs: hanging leg raises x10x3
I'm much more adapted to the ridicously higher volume, even though double benches is quite easier than double squats/deadlifts. Also I can keep in check my hunger now, and I'm lifting so much shit losing weight seems quite easy. I'm at 76,5kg now, mb going down to 75,5kg in the following 7 weeks to get ripped would be a good idea :p, despite my powerlifting competition (being ligher vs having to cut less water weight basically , I can make U74 with 77kg or less if weight in is day before). Also now that I have a gf I want to show her a six pack, so I'm basically resisting myself to losing weight
Moreover
@ eshlow or anyone
For an entirely theoretical discussion, is there a reason not to eat weed (avoid legal/money issues, and not smoke cause smoking is bad) for dealing with sports pain/fatigue? Like, after doing a standard smolov day, eating a "light" amount of weed to deal with pain the other day.

@ GoTuNk!
Thanks mate
I want to compete in strongman later on, so I do need a great back for it

Fuck this. Great job man!
Heia Norge!

I've read that front squats should be done in triples because they're more vulnerable to break-downs in form. For reference, my PR front squat is 245 lbs, and around the same time I was back squatting 275x3. So maybe 80-85%? I don't know how normal that is though.

ya, do triples. For reference, last time I tried front squats I was squatiing 120kgx5x5 and front squatting 60kg in triples lol, and completely exhausted after 3 sets ;(

It seems the gym at home has had some trouble with its business while I've been away. A new gym opened up ~10 miles away that has weights, as well as a pool, indoor basketball courts, raquetball courts, a track, etc. and only costs $10 more per month. For me, that's all useless because I just want the weights, and I don't want to have to bike farther to get to the gym, so I stick to the old one.
In answer, they've opened up a "deal" with the Ballet studio that they share a building with, and started offering various cardio/abs/kickboxing/zumba/yoga/other BS classes at night. End result is that the gym is flooded with 17 & 18 year old girls that hardly wear any clothing, and don't seem to realize how distracting they are. I was asked twice "what muscles does that work", once about form, and twice to spot a girl benching 20kg, when the girl herself can't weigh more than 45kg. Either they're trying to get my attention, or I need to find a new gym.
Not sure whether to be mad or not. Depends on how many of them turn out to be at least 18.

YOU HAVE A GYM WITH WEIGHTS AND FLOODED BY HOT GIRLS. I FEEL NO SYMPATHY. This was my lifting experience today: -At a crossfit -In someones BASEMENT (the house is in upper class suburbs so pretty nice but totally out of place) -20 people in said basement -had a platform with a squat stand on it -literally had about 3ft of room to do snatches on cause i couldn't move the squat stand cause people were crossfitting. Jerks were out of the question.
Ended up working up to 5 FS singles at 315 lb and snatching up to 205 lb. Followed by the usual harassment "zomg you oly lift but not crossfit??? you should do crossfit it will make you better at life"
But they're coming out with a pretty big facility that should be completed in two weeks (this fam must be loaded) with a dedicated oly lifting area so if all i have to do is give some tips to workout for free than its cool with me :D

Bodyweight clean today. 95kg. Next to jerk it and hopefully snatch it by end of year. lol

That's the problem. They're almost all hot, and they're all in GREAT shape, but I'm sure at least half of them are only 17.
Also my 1rm is embarassing, and I'm sure they'd be more impressed by repping the weighted chins... But I'm putting on some weight (at least 15 lbs) this summer, and I'm hoping to pull 4 plates pretty soon.

Just hit the squats/deadlifts wearing some rugby shorts. Bitches love legs. 17 or 18 only matters if you actually plan on banging them tbh.
Also gonna lose a lot of weight at this rate..todays food was 2 chicken breast 3 eggs 3 canadian bacon and a big beef burrito.

Currently been out of the country for more than 2 years, and will be for 2 more or so. When I get back I'll have the surgery. (I get it for free in Canada)
Anyway... my question:
Power cleans. Is it "safe" for someone with should injuries to catch a bar on your shoulders like you should? I am up to 60 kg with power cleans but it feels like I'm... "catching" the bar at my chest and THEN raising the bar up into that slot behind my clavicle. Also, maybe my body's just not used to it (been trying to fix my form over the past couple weeks) but I've been practicing just resting the bar on my upper chest or whatever. I think my form while doing that is fine since I can take my hands away and the bar stays. But my... clavicle, I guess, hurts a lot after having the bar up there.
TL;DR: Should I be weary of doing power cleans if I've had serious shoulder issues in the past? Try doing some front squats with the bar racked like you would catch it in a power clean. if it feels good than you should be alright, if you're referring to pain on your clavicle from normal bruising from catching the bar than i wouldn't worry about that, mine used to be bruised all the time. You get better at catching the bar and your body adapts. I've separated my ac joint and used to have pretty all around weak shoulders but clean and jerks/snatches have gone a long way in making it stronger and i don't have pain doing them any more. oh and flexibility work is important!!! Off to my first day of work eeek. tryna get a lift in afterwards.
Thanks for the advice.
