Also, thoughts on using belt for CJ and squats? Should I be using it just for near max attempts?

Donkeys, technically you want the back leg to drop first. Post a video!

I've been paying more attention to driving through my back leg and it feels different. Feels like it keeps my torso from leaning forward in the split. Also, thoughts on using belt for CJ and squats? Should I be using it just for near max attempts? I'm pretty sure drive comes equally from both legs. Never really thought about it. Your back leg should definitely move first and land first though. I use belt usually around 90%+ lifts. The longer I lift and learn how to activate my core better the less I use it though.

![]() My initial novice thoughts: The first I was thinking about being quick and I'd say I cut the pull super short. The next two are slower and I definitely catch it higher. They all have the bar going to far forward and not close enough to me I think? I feel so long and lanky in these :\ I was happy to not fall over yet though.

First day: snatch was alright, need to keep tighter and stay a little more forward in start position as well as try to keep knees out better. Jerk had a lot of problems (and I knew it). He wants me to dip more consistently (I tend to do a really short dip on light weights because its light) and narrower split (because my knees cave since it's too wide) and push my body forward rather than the bar backwards. Really tough adjusting and I seldom get it right but I just need to practice more. But squats... holy shit. I need to keep my knees out to fire glutes and apparently my glutes are weak as hell. Dropped about ~10-15kg on each squat but it feels really really stable and solid. I felt like that chinese squatting video where there were two guys squatting with perfect form but one of them was walking it out backwards. Anyways, got a lot of posterior work to do now as well as rows and stuff. very different
