I'm considering buying a gainer, because I want to put on some mass and I need something if i'm going to lift weights when i work since my dinner will be seriously delayed. schedule will look something like this after lunch: Lunch: 12.30 Quit work: 18.00 Gym: 18.30 Dinner: somewhere betweeen 20.00 and 21.20 I'm considering Optimum Nutrition Serious Mass because of the high amnounts of calories per serving, is it any other product you'd reccomend instead? @Malinor: beastly lifts dude, how big are you? @Dimsum: Gz to fifth in nationals! Edit2: Forgot to mention that I'm home again after my trip to USA. It's been great except for the fact that I have haven't lifted anything for over two weeks. I've only done some leg presses and one-legged squats + some dumbell bench once ![]()

Cheaper alternative is just make one yourself. Get a Mixer put in: Whey Dextrose (Oats work too) Whole Milk Peanut Butter Bananas/Apples/Dates (or any other fruit you like, or leave fruit out not much calories anyway just for taste) Oldschool bodybuilders used to put in some Heavy Cream too You can easily make a good tasting 1k+ Calorie shake with those few ingredients. Other than that, Serious Mass is a good gainer, used Strawberry tasted great. Only used 2/3 of a serving, though.

after workout, i was mad because i failed my 5x5 OHP, saw 40kg on my bar, thought benchpress gogogo. Did 40kg x 20 , the best part? my brother who is 2.5 years older tried too, he got only 10 reps!!anyhow, also nailed 77.5kg 5-5-5-5-5 squat and 95kg x 5 deadlift, guess my upper body wasnt with me today ![]() -e- now also time for ET and panzerfaust to blow myself up, somehow i love it but people hate me for that :D

It feels so queer coming off 6 days a week of casual gymming to go beastmode on three days and do fuck all on the other four. I lift 5 days a week, and rest thursday and sunday. I dont do anything on rest days. I think I will start max squatting on rest days, to get my leg strength up. @haji, I still need to get stronger! :D

Awesome! Thanks. + Show Spoiler + It looks like California Strength did really well. Jon and Donny both placed first in their divisions. Mendes got first, but his totals weren't vary good compared to his training totals. I don't know the extent of his shoulder injury, but I hope it doesn't bother him for too long. I think Broz predicted he'd total in the 400's this meet. Who is this Kyle Yamauchi guy? His totals seem pretty beastly for the -56kg class.

Ill be looking through some later. I use, and have gotten my sisters using myfitnesspal. There isn't a food yet, brand name or generic, that I've not been able to find in their catalog, and the interface is really simple. Definitely recommend. I haven't actually tried tracking macros with it, and if you're going to do that, I think you would have to make a lot of custom foods to get it accurate, but if calories are all you need, you're golden.

I was going to start with just calories first, then worry about macros later. Small steps so I actually stick to it.
