Today's workout:

Squat: 67,5kg
Press: 30kg
Powerclean: 35kg -stopped before my work sets because my back didn't feel ok since my overzealous weight increase on DL the last workout.

When squatting my last sets the weight shifts forward from my heels to mid-foot or even to the front of my feet. This happens when I'm down in the squat, just after hitting below parallel and on my way up again. Any thoughts on what might be causing this?
I'll try film my squat the next workout so you can comment on my form.

@eshlow: i know you told me this but i lost my fish oil and just re-ordered some but how much should i take/day(gram of dha/epa per pound of bw)? Same stuff you take.
how reasonable is it to eat off wood instead of your tummy?

Girls are usually too focused on my traps and back and legs (i'd like to think so but more realistically its probably my abs) to notice.

If you eat clean prolly only 2-5g EPA+DHA per day

If you eat dirty well... I guess .5-1g / 10 lbs works decently well

I generally tend to judge on how well my skin is doing especially around my fingernails because I can tell when it doesn't grow well or is super dry and tearing that I'm a bit deficient in the omega 3s. I also break out when I eat crappy foods so that is a goood sign too. I don't know if these work for you guys but they do for me

My email has started some sort of dispute between my surgeon and those at UCSF >.> The main reason I got so screwed up was sever atrophy from being in an upper body brace for 3 months 22 days. So my surgeon is saying I Shouldn't, those at UCSF are saying I should. I meet with the people at UCSF for a second opinion on monday regarding the procedure. Probably will have it done there.

hello guys, i don't usually post here but i stumbled upon this thread and i thought i'll share my training achievements to encourage others and especially recommend everyone to give SS a try.

i started SS @ october 2009 with these numbers:

bodyweight: 75 kg
squat RM5: 60 kg
deadlift RM5: 60 kg
bench press RM5: 50 kg
overhead press RM5: 35 kg
bodyweight pullups: 8,7,7 reps

after quite a few long periods without being able to train, i finished SS this april 2011 with the following RM1 PRs:

bodyweight: 98 kg
squat RM1: 182.5 kg
deadlift RM1: 185 kg
bench press RM1: 125 kg
push press RM1: 87.75 kg
powerclean RM1: 90 kg

after i was done with SS, i went on a 2 week rest from training and i got back, this time with bill starr's 5X5 program, linear version.

the current numbers:

bodyweight: 96 kg
squat RM5: 175 kg
deadlift RM5: 180 kg
bench press RM5: 120 kg
push press RM5: 75 kg
powerclean RM3: 90 kg

the first 2 months of SS i trained without interruptions or pauses and i ate like a beast and i went in the squat from 60 to 120, deadlift 60 to 135, bench press 50 to 90, overhead press 35 to 55 and bodyweight 75 to 85, in 2-3 months.

i implore and encourage you all to read about the program in mark rippetoe's book Starting Strength 2nd Edition and go at it full on.

Maxed out on Overhead Press today and it went pretty much as expected. Did 90kgx1 and failed 92,5kg. Though afterwards I wished I brought my 0,5kg plates after I remembered that 90kg is 198lb, next time then. Now I have a week off with only some light workouts. My wrists, shoulders and knees will be thankful.

do you guys use hair removal like to show off your ample chests better? i thought bodybuilders do that. anyways i used hair removal cream on my chest and ass and my ass has been covered in hundreds of red spots for quite a while now (weeks?). i know i should have used some sort of anti-septic cream after removing my ass hairs but its too late now. i got some antibiotics from the doctor which will hopefully get rid of the ass spots quicker. so anyone else do this here and what tips can you give me? ask your bodybuilder friends too

God damnit, competition for 'weirdest discussion' will be heavy. Using soothing cream should work? What's wrong with a bit of asshair? I used it as an opening line on a girl 2 minutes ago (Tarzan or Jane?), and she and her friends agreed that a man should be a man down there, but no gorilla. Also, you really shouldn't put that much effort in grooming your asshole, it's just not manly, bro.

well it started off with the tuft of hair i had on my lower back that looked like a bruise, then my penereal area i thought should finally get attention since it was a forest, after i done that i thought "what the hell" and just done my ass cheeks aswell since i had splattered it around a bit and wanted an even finish.
i will ask in the local pharmacy/womens shop, it must be a pretty common complaint.
btw having a smooth ass is ....so different....quite a lot less comfortable, now i know that women with nice large asses are actually quite sweaty and uncomfortable people lol. and wiping your ass is harder, the paper gets stuck

so how can a sandwich be just 4g of carbs , that sounds like a TINY amount to me...

Sandwich has 50g carbs? Look at the table below ^^
