So i promised to talk here about basketball

won against our rival school by 50 points! 4x10min. Was in game about 30min or so, first 20mins straight

Seems like I am at or close to novice totals for my weight with every lift except bench press. Damn my pitiful bench is going to take a while. Powercleans are a tad bit off too but that's cus I started way light.

I was having back problems for awhile too. It ended up being a mix of leaning foward a touch (chest too far forward) and thus the back rounding a touch at the very bottom of the set. Changing that bit of form has gotten rid of those pains for me.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend any very basic cookbooks. Getting an apartment for teh summer so I want to learn how to cook. My roomies will have the basic pots and pans and I'll have a decent budget for myself. I'm looking to gain 10-15 pounds this summer so no diet stuff. (I acknowledge gomad)

Stop working out for 2-3 weeks, eat more, get outside and get some vitamin D, take fish oil, and see if that helps

I assume those standards are for 1RM, amirite?

If that's the case I'm hitting intermediate level for all of those lifts (at 132lb standard level), with the bench and squat weights being the ones I use for my five reps in PP.

Yesterday I had a pretty great workout at the gym, minus the fact that I ended up missing hard on my overhead press. I tried upping the weight by 5lbs (2.5lb plates both sides) to get it up to 100lbs since I cleared 95 last week.

Finished the first set with a struggle at the last rep, then in set two I died on the second rep. I didn't bother going for 100 on the third set, I dropped back down to 95lbs and finished off five reps with that.

Going to try 100lbs again next press workout (Saturday) and hopefully I'll be able to push without problems.

Other workouts I had yesterday were squats (3 sets of 5@195, moving to 205 next workout) and chinups (3 sets of 10@BW+15lb DB).

Damnit, hoped I wouldn't have to stop working out. Will stop working out for two weeks and keep you posted. One question though: if I go outside, is it still okay to go skimboarding/play football?

There's a reason wendler is such a big name out there - he's a SOLID program for an advanced lifter. Question is, are you that far advanced that there aren't faster ways to add 50 pounds to your squat than doing it in monthly cycles?

I'd like to take a look at his power lifting program at least to see how it's different from his regular 5/3/1.
