It's like there is some secret super virus on the internet changing all the captcha to impossible mode. Soon, the entire internet will fall.

Note that ESWC Grand Final in france is happening at the same time of MLG Dallas. GL HF to the americans trying to qualify, ESWC holds a dear place in my heart and in the heart of many esports lover. I hope the tournament can get back to it's former prestige soon !

Here's the problem with that... users register for the event, then change their alias on Battle.net, thus being assigned a new character #. For security reasons, once someone signs up, we don't allow them to change their alias / information (this protects the players), and requires an admin to make a change should one occur. With a ton of players signed up, even if an admin handles EVERY request in an extremely timely manner, there's still a chance a player's information may not be updated before their next match.
The Real ID never changes, and is independent of character name or ID #. Thus, we've instituted the Real ID as the only identifier of the player for the event.
We've tried both ways in the past, and the Real ID works far and away much better than alternative methods.

strangely enough character name + ID seems to work for all other tournaments. You cite security reasons for not being able to change the character ID, but exposing the Real ID of the players is more secure?
I really hope to see more no names players getting far in this and becoming more prevalent in the Starcraft community. Especially Canadian ones :D
With diablo 3 coming out I think everyone has an authenticator tied to their account, so sharing the realID on the webz now has little to no significance.
lol good luck making an account.
tried like 10 times to make an account...captcha code never works
really broken captcha system, if some1 can contact them so they can fix this would be great!

You know theres a problem with that, cause you know me and kawaiirice were big name players here, so our friends list is full. this popularity is sometimes worse than good, let me just get DRG and MC's opinion on this.
all jokes aside though, i hate removing people ;____________;

am i just dumb or does it not say what time the event is on monday the 30th?

Lol, holy fuck that map-pool is old.
Just curious about tonights games, will they still be played with the problems with custom games?
When is the ro16 matches?
When will the bracket for Ro16 be posted? Is it double elim? Bo5? Bo3? More information would be nice
are tonights games going to be streamed?\
Why are there no results for this? I know who won one of the semifinal matches because Axslav was streaming those games, but I haven't heard/seen anything about Trimasters games
how can you expect to compete with wcg or even wcs when there is no evidence of organisation at all..
impossible to know anything from the bracket when its not the players names O_O but the names they signed up with on the site
