LOS ANGELES, CA - MAY 21st, 2012 - Today, Evil Geniuses, Team Liquid, compLexity, and Team Dignitas, four of the eSports industry's finest professional teams and communities, are excited to announce a community party on the night of Sunday, June 10th, entitled "Sunday Night BarCraft." The party, sponsored by Monster Energy, Twitch.TV, Alienware, and Kingston HyperX, will be held in the Ballroom of the Hilton Anaheim Hotel (less than a minute's walk away from the Anaheim Convention Center). It will begin at 8:30pm, after the MLG Anaheim event's conclusion, and it will be free of charge and open to all ages.
Fans and Community members alike can expect appearances from their favorite EG, Liquid, coL, and dignitas pro players, as well as other eSports broadcasters and celebrities such as djWHEAT, SirScoots, and Slasher. For a full list of player and celebrity appearances, please see the event's flyer (below). In addition to those listed, there will also be some very special, secret guest appearances from other eSports celebrities not included on the flyer.
Players and celebrities will be available for pictures and autograph signings from 8:30-10pm, during which time there will also be a player/celebrity panel and Q&A on the event's main stage. From 10-11, we'll have pro player showmatches and fan-to-pro challenges, live on stage, which means that anyone attending has the chance to be picked out of the crowd and brought up on stage to play with (and/or against) his or her favorite player. We'll close the event with a live episode of Live on Three from 11pm-12am, and there will be plenty of giveaways from the party's sponsors throughout the night, including a brand new Gaming Notebook from Alienware!
A full summary of the party's schedule and venue information can also be found in the flyer (below). We hope you'll all join us for what will almost certainly be the largest, awesomest eSports after-party the community's seen to date. And really, since the trip from the Anaheim Convention Center to the Hilton will take you approximately two minutes on foot, if you're going to MLG Anaheim, you have no excuse not to come! For those of you who can't make it, though, the party's main stage will be streamed live on Twitch.TV/OneMoreGameTV, where you'll still be able to catch the player/celebrity panels, showmatches, fan-to-pro challenges, and the live episode of Live on Three.
So, whether online or in person, make sure you join us on Sunday, June 10th at 8:30pm! We all look forward to seeing you there. Make sure you arrive early - the first 1,000 attendees will receive a limited edition Sunday Night BarCraft autograph card (preview below), featuring the EG, dignitas, coL, and Liquid logos, which you can use to collect the signatures of your favorite pro players and eSports celebrities!
Attendees will be able to get their hands on one of these official autograph cards for free!
Wouldn't it be funny if some of the rumored BW players showed up? Maybe we could see some sick tektonic dancing, or perhaps a drunken brawl between some of the cutest progamers alive.

Maybe some of them will start swimming in their shorts after one of their games.
I'll be sure to be there! I must've spent 40-50 dollars on drinks at the Friday Night Barcraft last time for the GSL October Finals. It was a good time and I yelled "Fuck Slasher!" a lot. And yes, our blue laws do suck, last call at 1:30 and no more booze after 2. I'm not sure if they're state-wide, but they are useless!

It would be wise to keep the BW pros away from water unless lifeguard flash is there.

Good point. That could result in a near death situation.

its gonna be streamed. On last weeks episode of The Executives they actually announced this party. They said the entire event would be streamed.

You will get your autograph sheet and get it signed by the players. We'll have a table of approx. 12 players at a time and you can get them signed there.

I'm going to 100% be there for sure, I live an hour away. Any TL members live near Pasadena or Glendale? Message me if so, I'll be going with my girlfriend but it'd be nice to have someone to talk to that lives close by.
If there's anything you guys (tl fans unable to attend) need or want me to address at the after party or at MLG Anaheim, feel free to PM me. I will be going to both events since the venue is close to my house and I wouldn't mind addressing a statement, getting extra signatures for fans who want one, and etc. I also plan to take pictures as well, for those wanting shots of the event.

I'm familiar with the area, but I live in Cypress/Anaheim area. Since it's nearby my house, we could arrange a TL meetup for those that are planning on going to the Hotel Afterparty.
Hmm. This is more of a "gypsy" barcraft. I mean, it's not really a bar - there will be bars with alcohol, but it's a ballroom. It lacks a little bit of the dignity and gravitas of a true pub/bar.
Having said that, I am very sad that I cannot go - can't you move it like 1000 miles closer to me somehow? (To Europeans that are jealous of us in the States because of this event - don't be. The US is about the size of Western Europe, but with worse interior travel systems. Something going on in Anaheim is fantastic for people that will be there, but it's still at least a $500 flight from chunks of the east coast.
This is now to the point where it's just to difficult to contain my hype. Flying for the first time tomorrow across the country to attend my first MLG where not only are the pools stacked, the open bracket is stacked, and TBLS, Soulkey, Leta, Fantasy, and Calm will be there, Tokido, Juicebox, KoF13, and now this on top of it?
Front page says "So, whether online or in person, make sure you join us on Sunday, June 10th at 8:30pm!" So thats where I thought they meant it would be streamed.
Stream down again? Hope you guys can bring it back for the showmatches! If not I'll be sure to tune in to the Flash Live on Three, can't wait to hear Slasher utterly confuse him with his famed 20-part questions.
meh... I think I am gonna close the stream and wait for Live on Three. I appreciate a little bit goofing, but this took too long and started to get boring.
I get that these guys are people we look up to and what not, but why is everyone so awkward asking questions? They are just people like us. The coolest guy was the one who offered to buy everyone a beer. I
Ok this isNOT A BARCRAFT! This is a PRESS CONFERENCE.
People do not sit down in chairs and ask dumb questions to unprepared pro's on a stage during a Barcraft. This is the worst "after-party" I have ever seen in my life for any sport or organization.
Good f-ing God trust me this is not what fans were hoping for. At least Geoff realized how ridiculous it was and was pissed throughout the Q&A.
Edit: Thank god Geoff saved the event from disaster by hosting after the Q8A thing lol

The sanity of the whole panel is somewhere between Rats on Cocaine and How High, just because everyone in that hall is extremely tired, and some (like Bling) probably even visited a bar beforehand, on top of it.

You don't get it, that's alright. Read the OP the stream viewers knew exactly what to expect. The barcraft part is really best for the people that are in attendance. They are just wanting to share part of it with us.

No I get it, but you should see the chat for the stream and reddit if you think people "wanted" this. They were expecting a party and music and chatting with pros drinking and having fun.
It's not bad for what it is, but it is definitely NOT a Barcraft
I'm pretty calm my friend, I found it amusing.. as I'm sure many people did. Although quite a few people said they were disappointed. Perhaps they set their expectations too high, lol
This was the only part of the whole weekend that I did not enjoy. The pros were all behind one table and so people waited in line to go through the table for signatures like some sort of Disneyland ride, the chairs were set up in rows and there were no horizontal aisles so even without the blaring music, mingling was impossible. Just get some booze and then sit in your seat, children. Then the Kespa players minus Bisu came and gave the same introductions they did the night before and then left. After DJ Wheat realized that people were becoming irritated with him asking us to yell "fuck Slasher" for 10minutes, there was a pro offrace + bronze 2v2 tourney that was so uninteresting that we left. You have a whole room full of people who share a common passion (Starcraft) and arranged an event where you cannot watch, play, or discuss Starcraft. Brilliant.
after attending IPL4 in vegas in vegas, i had high hopes for this. as someone with a couple connections due to friends who work hard for the san diego barcraft scene, i got to see and enjoy some sweet stuff. from playing blackjack with players to drinking with Whitera, and hanging with Machine and Axslav and more, it was a blast.
honestly, i should have known better, but sweet memories, and a lack of judgement had me blinded. instead of a laidback environment filled with alcohol (its a BARcraft remember) music and cool people. i walked into a tiny convention hall filled with lined chairs that you expect for an announcement in the gym of middle school taht was FILLED with people( at least half of them smelled as if they hadnt showered in all 3 days). there was a (huge) line for autographs for some of the players, but i had already decided that this wasnt the time for signatures, this was supposed to be about chilling. so i didnt even go there. (not that i woulda gotten through the line) there was maybe 500-600 people packed into this hall. there was only TWO bartenders(there is more bartenders than that at a random Applebees on a thursday night), so the line to get a drink (for absurdly overpriced drinks) was like 45 minutes long.
and of course, towards the back, was the VIP section (take a wild guess where all the coaches/players/personalities were) not to completely discredit, there was a few pros/commentators/etc around, i saw Totalbiscuit and his wife, Socke, and the underage Koreans (they looked bored as fuck and didnt want to be there). but im pretty sure the people who did mingle, didnt for long, and/or were forced to.
i didnt stay long... and neither did alot of the players and coaches from other teams. i wont name names due to them potentially getting into trouble. but players from the team that hosted the event left early, and/or were late. players from teams not hosting it left too, personally, i was with a couple players/friends/MLG employees, and we took the party back to our hotel room and salvaged the night. but we talked to alot of people in the scene and the agreement was consensual that it was really lame...
i sat for 3 days watching sc2 in lines of chairs, why would i want to do that again at a "party" afterwards? and while its obvious why you would have a VIP area sequestered from the general public. (if i could get back there, i wouldnt have came out either) but if your gonna have "pro players meet the fans kind of thing" then them sitting back there ALL night after the first hour is pointless... we arent stupid. we know they are all back there.
and most importantly, compound the fact that it was so hard to actually get alcohol.... total crash and burn guys.
