Now that I can pay for things, I actually much prefer to support content creators that I really enjoy rather than yarrrrrrrgh up and down the coast.

I think part of the issues with music is that buying CDs doesn't support the artists at all. I don't even know how you can support artists. Watch their concerts?

I don't often buy kpop stuff because it's usually a serious hassle, but I buy most of my other CDs. Even stuff on like Bandcamp where it's for free I like to leave donations. I like to think that it in some ways makes up for all my pirating as a kid

Some artists have ways to buy CDs directly from them, or have places to support them on their sites. Most other times you just support them by supporting their label, I guess.

I agree with supporting content creators but at the current time its better to just go to concerts and buy their non album stuff.

Which is a fair point. But it extends to games and stuff too.
Maybe it's just cuz my brother is a singer and my sister is a director - I've been assimilated into being a patron to the arts.

When I hit junior high, they had just built a new modern one, with 5 PC's in every room, and TV's *modern for 1997 anyway*. We never used the PC's for anything but downloading stuff with Napster, or silly browser games until the teachers caught on and banned us from the classroom computers. Don't think I ever did anything school related on them.

lol this statement hit me right in the middle school

we hid pirating stuff (rip limewire) and games (CS and shit) on the school servers, we put them all in the printers directory and apparantly nobody ever looks in there granted our admin was pretty bad with computers. that helped.

I either a) killed it or b) got the nonconfrontational lines to get me out the door.
I should do more interviews commando.

When I was younger we used to rent a space and have a lan (no internet at all) and use it to share music, films, games and porn because downloading took forever while gaming through the night.
As of now people just buy stuff because its less of a hassle and people have money.

Downloading took forever even without gaming. But I didn't have a computer at the time, and when I got one for my 2nd year of postgrad I didn't take the Internet in my room. Only online gaming I did before that was a bit of Warcraft III using our limited connection.
I'm gonna be more hipster than Marmy for disliking Lou Bega when his Mambo n°5 came out.

Whoa you rented? We had lans in my garage or there would be community held lans every few months where people would just share everything. Man that quality was garbage back then. I think they still have monthly big lan events but no way I'm going to that. Everyone has worse quality than I download anyway so it'll land up me sharing shit and I don't really play games these guys play anymore. Still it was fun when I was younger ;>
I think there's still a recording of me screaming at the event organizer to shut the fuck up since he was making dumb announcements over the PDA while we were in a super intense comp match lol

Just go there, catch up with them and make them introduce you to their girl friends, Numy. You'll end up like Ketara in no time (without the part where you squander it obv.).
|
Last night one of the girls was all cuddling up to me and telling me she loved me and shit because I had ice cream and she wanted some.
Evil temptress.

No one is ever going to take Ketaras virginity. NO ONE.
